True privateers like Davis in avatar back in mid '90s end of '90s could keep going think 200 was total for 40th separated by 10 bucks increase per better placing, gas $1.50 at most, cheap eats at good places, Motel 6 like 30 or 40 bucks, etc.. The Nat'l off weekends where real money use to be made like Frozen Ocean SX/MX, Jolly Rogers NH, Wardy's track Illinois, etc.. Full gates with good Nat'l number riders. Those still even exist? No chance for true privateers especially from CA to chase a dream and stay above water. SX drive all night for CMC GSS or GFI Winter race for contingency that barely or don't exist at all now. I don't know who's local Pro, just Nat'l like Max, Mosiman's, Schwartz n Stilez in Bakersfield. NorCal thrived when BobbyM, Shultz, Magoo, etc; full gates all day long. Sport's changed to compounds and Baker's Factory with families that can afford what I bought in Bailey tapes, Jeff Spencer n Ake Jonsson books.. Just wondered about purses today n any money races on off weekends still? Peace.
