Junk air forks! I’ve seen a fair amount of my buddies aer forks fail just like yours, different issues but same result where the fork drops a few inches. Do yourself a favor and go for a spring conversion

i have about 130 hour on mine - re valved when i first got bike, havent been opened since - no issues. However, it seems like its a hit or miss with the AER's

I've got 40 hrs on them right now. Had them revalved at 2 hrs. I'm updating to the 18 air seal and spring guide currently while saving for the MX tech Lucky setup.
