I keep saying it is unbelievable we haven't seen A.C. race the 450 during the opposite rounds. It was A.C. vs Webb during the Amateur days, Webb has gone 450 3-4 years earlier? For A.C. to have not raced the 450 even once is strange for a guy that wants to be the best in the world. Maybe A.C. will do it reverse of Webb, winning everything first year.
The Honda thing is cool to, could you imagine your life on bikes that you thought turned well, then you rode a Honda!
If A.C. would race 450 the ratings might sky rocket. At what point does he decide to enter the brawl and tell everyone else to screw off. Is he going to be buddies with K.R. after slamming him for a win? I don't ever see him entering the cage. Is he scared to race 450?

I was going to call BS on your post, then realized that Emig never won a 125 SX or MX title, but went on to win one 250 SX title, and two 250 MX titles. Also, it doesn't appear that Stanton ever won a 125 SX or MX title despite going on to win 6 titles on a 250. I didn't start following the sport until the early 90's though.

So Stanton was the only one to do it?

Not fixed. Henry, not Larocco, was 93 125 MX champ as well...
Actually, there are more errors, and it is likely due to the fact there were 3 titles available per year. Bayle was 91 SX, 250 and 500MX. Kiedrowski won 125 MX again that year.

Just curious....at which point did you have to win a 250 title to be a contender in the 450 class?
I guess at the same point there are 250 class title winners that are struggling for rides. I’m not trying to re invebt the wheel by going all the way back Emig and Stanton days. Just a simple opinion. Int his days of racing with everyone at training facilities the riders are closer in speed. This giving the odds less to someone just jumping up there and being better.

I think AC because of his size is going to be a better 450 rider
Why does everyone always use size as a gauge to how well someone will do on a 450? Have you never seen the GOAT?

Relax guys, ac will replace joey in 2020. No need for pc to put on a 450 ride.
People seem quite convinced of this, yet Joey has had on average much better results than Adam during their time on PC together.

I know PC is a lights team, but I think if Mitch has any want for a 450 title, AC is a great rider to try with. He didn’t have much luck with Tickle I know. I think this is completely different. I see big things to come for AC on 450’s. Any chance of this happening?

I think the plan for awhile has been for AC to be on Factory Kawi when he went to 450s. Now if contracts didn’t line up or there wasn’t a spot available anywhere then sure, he probably stays at PC. But I’d imagine Kawi makes room for him at the factory rig when he moves up.

Or do Honda throw the Kitchen sink at him? If AC wins both titles next year which he is more than capable of, there will probably be a pretty decent bidding war going on. Cole Seely just signed a 1 year deal. Could be interesting times next silly season. Also probably get pretty interesting down at the Nest/Sandbox/whatever they call it now.

Come on guy, you new to this sport? It isn't gonna happen. Unless the 7th times a charm.....

AP won both this year. Not much in previous years indicated that was going to happen.

Osborne won both last year, he was far from a rookie.

Strange things happen, and if anyone has the untapped potential in that class its AC
