I'm not calling him a douchebag but he did not follow the rules as it was not the safest place to re-entry and actually he was cutting the track as it was just the start and everybody was within few feet away. He also caused an unnecessary mess that affected the points and for less than that number 17 lost the title last year. AMA should dock him points too. I like him but it's worth highlighting.

Believe he was talking about the start of the 250 main. It was a questionable move, for sure. AC ended up inside the tuff blocks and ran one over to get back on track in front of most of the pack, causing the tuff block he ran over to come out onto the track and take some people out.

^^^^^^^^^^ that's not acceptable if it happened that way. rules in place are clear on that.

He simply cut the turn in the hope to get his bad start good. But that tuff block tough different about it. It still ruined his start and also from other riders because his move.

Watch highlights of the track and look at the inside at turn 1. The whole stretch is lined with tough blocks. Theres no place to re-enter the track so he blew up the tough blocks and got back in the fight.

You look at the AC and Christian Craig incidents. Tuff block placement is half the issue.

There should be large gaps on the inside of the exit of the corner...

And for that matter, they could probably do without them on the downsides of jumps, just the crest and the face so the riders have space to get out without a front wheel taking them down.

I say line them up butt to butt. Penalty for cutting is a line of defending tuff blocks. J/K.Wink

The problem is is he has a long history of cutting the starts. Rookie year, very first outdoor race he did the same thing and took the water truck road. He got docked positions for it. Hes also known for doing the same thing in the amateurs also.

Really sucks cause I had him picked to win but karma is a bitch when you pull moves like that. He should be docked some positions.

Yeah, bad move for AC. I'd like to see the replay again, but from what I remember it looked like he wasn't really forced to the inside of the blocks to begin with - like he could have hit the brakes harder and lost a bunch of positions, but actually stayed within the bounds of the track. Like others have said, not the first time he's done this.

I will wait to see it, had to work and missed the race.

But if what you guys are saying happened that way. That's not legal and should be adjusted. Track markers are there for a reason. How they are placed can be argued, but they are out there in the same place for everyone. Knocking them into the the lane of traffic on the start, in front of other riders shouldn't happen with rules in place for that kind of thing.

Those on the jumps are landing airbags.

"Waa I got a bad start so I'm just gonna cut the corner then ram a tuff block and ruin a bunch of guys' starts. Waa I'm AC." What a kook.

Looks like AC didn’t have much of a choice.

If AC fell into the tuffblocks I would have been OK with what happened to the competitors that were actually on the track; it would have been a racing incident. What AC did should have been penalized. Perhaps with a black flag since he intentionally re-entered the track where it was not safe to do so.

Instead of tough blocks they should build moats around every sq inch of the track. You leave the track in you get swallowed up and have to be plucked out by crane at the end of the race. Proper punishment for the proper fuck up. This track cutting is BS

Well like someone said. won't happen. I guess if it had been a few riders further up in the field then maybe it would be looked at.

He could have chose to hit the brakes instead of the gas when he was cutting the track to get in front of other guys.

Wonder if that was a privateer taking out a factory Kawasaki....would they look at it then? Probably not.
