I've always been a fan of Adam. Does anybody else gets the sense that he is riding frantic, and that is hurting him? He obviously has more than enough skill, speed and conditioning to be rattling off championships, but something always happens. He seemed all over the place last night, and was more solid in main #3- but got passed. Reminds me of Canard- giving 200% every second, but often spinning wheels.

Man...love AC. Such a good personality and all around great guy but damn he is his worst enemy. I knew after he threw away that first moto it was just going to have a domino effect on the rest of his night.

Exactly my sentiments. He needs to relax and let the race come to him.

Elsewhere I suggested he should consider working with a Sports Psychologist. His short-comings are all in his head. I'm a huge fan and will like to see him get this championship then move on to the 450 class.

Ahh man you are exactly right it was so evident last night. Now there is even more pressure to do good next week, which isn’t good. I thought after Glendale he would mellow out but nope. Honestly I think he’s not going to win the championship. I feel like it’s Colts year, but mcelrath is right there. And than ac and Ferrandis are similar, really fast but they make mistakes.

He is an awesome dude and a great rider.....but he needs to calm the fuck down. You can just see it in his riding that he's just over anxious. I by no means could give him any advice , but from what I can see is , is that he forces things to much.

He even seems to have the confidence. When I see him ride it feels like he's thinking he should be winning, then he tries too hard to make something happen quickly, crashes or bobbles, and then gets frustrated and rides a bit crazy. That was definitely on display last night. You could feel his disappointment when he shook McElrath's hand.

At his level the above is the correct mindset to have. He knows he should be up from fighting for wins..that's a huge positive believing in yourself.

I say this with big respect for he guy and by no means want to diss him. He is not dealing with his mistakes correctly and as we all know, everyone makes mistakes. As stated above, it appears that he hits panic mode, or is over eager to get back up front....the old adage, "one step forward..two steps back"....haste is the mother of all f@ck ups and AC is throwing points away. It's almost like a "all or nothing" approach.

Desperation and haste - not good, he is loading himself with unnecessary pressure.

Any chance we see him on a 450 in the east coast rounds?

This is all but "gone" now days - but I agree it would be smart for him. I miss those days when a youngster would ride the big bike

Can't even begin to imagine the pressure he is under; both by himself and his team.

At some point that "don't worry dude, you'll get 'em next time" starts feeling super heavy.

Maybe he should ask MC for some advice

He seems incapable of settling for any position that isn't 1st. If he gets a bad start it's almost a guarantee he will crash trying to get to the front. It's hard to believe such a decorated amateur has been pro for 5 years and still hasn't won a championship.

Those first 2 sentences are spot on. Championships are won with damage control. On his best day he’s capable of holeshotting, leading every lap and getting the easy win—we saw this last week in Glendale. But until he can learn to settle in a little bit and play the long game it’s going to be tough to win a championship. Podiums win championships.

He’s only 8 points down but he only has 1 podium in 3 races. If he can manage to ride for a podium on his bad days instead of finishing 5th or 14th like he did in the 2nd moto last night he can still win the title.

You gotta admit, with the shorter motos and washing the front end out near the middle of the short race, along with losing 4 or more spots...at that level he didn't have time to 'let the race come to him'.....at that point you gotta make shit happen quickly I'd assume, hence the over riding.....its pretty much a gamble at that point. Go or blow.....

He's paid to win now and I'm sure the pressure on him is staggering even if no ones "pushing" him...

The point isn't what he does after he washes the front end. The point is why does he always wash the front end when leading in the first place or do something stupid like not turn left after holeshotting the start.

Dude has more pressure this year than any. And 250 guys don't have the luxury of playing the "averages" game over 17 rounds. They have to actually win if they want to win.
