I've always been a fan of Adam. Does anybody else gets the sense that he is riding frantic, and that is hurting him? He obviously has more than enough skill, speed and conditioning to be rattling off championships, but something always happens. He seemed all over the place last night, and was more solid in main #3- but got passed. Reminds me of Canard- giving 200% every second, but often spinning wheels.
Elsewhere I suggested he should consider working with a Sports Psychologist. His short-comings are all in his head. I'm a huge fan and will like to see him get this championship then move on to the 450 class.
The Shop
At his level the above is the correct mindset to have. He knows he should be up from fighting for wins..that's a huge positive believing in yourself.
I say this with big respect for he guy and by no means want to diss him. He is not dealing with his mistakes correctly and as we all know, everyone makes mistakes. As stated above, it appears that he hits panic mode, or is over eager to get back up front....the old adage, "one step forward..two steps back"....haste is the mother of all f@ck ups and AC is throwing points away. It's almost like a "all or nothing" approach.
Desperation and haste - not good, he is loading himself with unnecessary pressure.
At some point that "don't worry dude, you'll get 'em next time" starts feeling super heavy.
Pit Row
He’s only 8 points down but he only has 1 podium in 3 races. If he can manage to ride for a podium on his bad days instead of finishing 5th or 14th like he did in the 2nd moto last night he can still win the title.
He's paid to win now and I'm sure the pressure on him is staggering even if no ones "pushing" him...
