Personally I'd love to see the number 9 because it's my favorite number but I think the number 92 means to much to him to ditch it. I think he'll stay in the 90s with his boy Roczen.
How long has he been 92 professionally... two seasons? He has how many more in him. I say switch now, start a new legacy and close the book on the 92... sealed with a championship!
He definitely should run 92. Otherwise than the OG bigger career number of 22 Reed and also Rocky 94 and Marv 25 who all could have chosen smaller numbers am I missing someone?????

I don't believe Musquin could have chosen a single digit. Doesn't have a 250 national championship, or 450 championship.
I think just for marketing reasons you go with the single digit. You never know what’s going to happen. Deano has had some terrible luck with injuries since his 250 outdoor title. As a result he’s been bouncing around between fill in, factory, and privateer rides. I do think many teams would value having a single digit under their awning compared to his 15, making getting a ride that much easier.
That said though, I wish they’d go back to the old system. You run what you earned the previous year.
After listening to his part on Pulp last night his heart has moved from 92, he's proud to have earned that single digit. If his heart is on the 9 then go for it, there aren't many riders who can say they've earned the single digit. You're running it AC, not the rest of us !!

F1: 44, 5, 7, 3, 33
MotoGP: 46, 93, 99, 4
MXGP: 84, 222, 461, 243, 99, 41, 46
Everybody knows who these people are. We don't need a special category of numbers to tell us who the guys with pedigrees are.
