I apologize if this has been posted.

Has anyone been around the stadium and gotten any pictures of the track being built or the trucks rolling in?

That's always something that gets me excited the week before the start of the season!

I remember the days before social media and not being as much in the loop as I am now, and the first glimpse of the track for me, would be walking into the stadium just before they dimmed the lights! Heck, we didn't even know you could watch qualifying?!! We'd sit in the parking lot drinking beer all afternoon, hearing the bikes in the stadium, thinking...man it'd sure be cool to watch some practice and qualifying!HuhLaughing

Hahaha I'm a rare breed completely off social media so this and RacerX are my only plug ins.

Nothing like walking into the stadium and hearing the bikes. I always loved that as a kid and was fortunate enough to have many friends and fellow racers turn pro and race SX. Helping your buddy prepare for months at the track, tearing down a bike, setting up the pits in the privateer section, its all good stuff.

They talked and showed the track being built yesterday on the local evening news.

What's the station? Maybe it's on YouTube?

Super pumped to get back to racing but it sure would be nice if they did something unique with the track instead of the same old spec obstacles and dimensions.

No…more like just making it not so predictable. Maybe only have one triple and make a really challenging lane that will cost some time without a perfect railing of the berm prior. A longer triple exiting right outside a turn that guys won’t sail on lap one of practice.

And of course a gator pit in 3 ft of water that they can either jump or risk getting chewed on Smile

It does look closer to the edge of the stadium floor than some years. So maybe the are using more of the available area? But maybe not.

Like tracks that separated the best guys from the rest.
The older tracks had obstacles that only 3-4 people would even attempt.

Now the 250 guys do everything the 450 guys are doing these days. The only difference is the top guys can go faster in and out of corners and get through the whoops better.

There is a bit of a consensus that a lot of the older tracks were built with a lot more dirt also.

Man this really is the best week for me. My boss asked me a few weeks ago if I was excited for Christmas, My response was "I am more excited for January 8th".

Is that a flat 90 after the first whoop section?

Dang that start is short!

The last corner is going to be a good one!
I might be alone on this but I love short starts. It puts more emphasis on qualifying and Heats because typically on short starts only a few gates have a chance at the holeshot.
