A1 Ando - I’m bummed.

Ando - WTF - is he now sponsored by a boat anchor company? guess he wasn’t feeling it but if I were a shrink I’d say he’s having issues with the red plate.

He kept talking about people seeing him as an underdog even though he won it all last year - no son, you’re the champ and rightfully so - don’t talk like that. Champs don’t give a flying f$&k what others think or say.

I hope it was all just a vision problem - plenty of riders seemed to be struggling with that.

Rainy race. Played it conservative. He watched his entire competition crash their brains out last year. He doesn't want to follow suit this year. Will be interesting to see how he responds the next few races.

I can’t see it being psychological. He’s stronger than that. It has to be either a goggle issue or an undisclosed injury.

Vision was an issue for a lot of them. Fogging is the worst, or water between tge tear-off stack

Was he sick or injured, did not look himself in either his heat or main and it only got worse the race went on longer in both cases.

I doubt this is the norm from the #1 this season.

The more I think about it a wet, slippery track doesn’t really suit his barely on the bike riding style very well. Just odd seeing him lose position like that.

He can’t reel off wins like Tomac and Roczen are capable of. Those guys will be up front all year.

He won what 3 races last year. Hes the champ but its not like hes ever dominated a series. He got an even worse result with his spoke issue last year so hell be fine to do however he does.

Put a fork in him. He's a great rider but is a tier below ET3 and KR94, just like Munchkin, Barfia, Charlottes Webb, Peely and the rest of the wannabees who only have a chance to win the Chumpionship if Reeses Pieces and Rockzarms get injured or have multiple mookchanicals.

I mean... pretty much yea. Kenny was out with double amputated arms, Tomac missed 2 races, Marvin missed 1. He only won 3 races. Hes the champ and Im taking nothing away but with Kenny back and if Tomac doesnt f himself its gonna b hard. That being said Ken does crash alot and Eli does seem to f himself so its not over. Ando still won getting like 20th with blown spokes. Its all about whos there at the end and Ando doesnt crash a lot.

Not a Anderson fan at all. Not even a little bit. BUT... he will podium next week. The dudes the champ for a reason. He has the fitness and will hang tight all season.

Was kind of rumours of him being injured, Matthes mentioned it very briefly on Pulp Show but kinda didn't take it seriously. The way he rode all day it wouldn't surprise me if we hear that there's an injury. Maybe not, maybe it was just a bad day at the office. Either way horrible start to the season for him and Husky

Mudder race. We will see how he does when its dry. Also the field is packed. He might be a top 4 guy. I don't think he's champ in 2018. Last year half his competition was in body casts by round 4.

uk, dude i dig your avatar. That was back before they made custom colors from Oakley, so you had to buy 2 pairs and trade the straps. I had the exact combo: Red frames, Blue strap, and a white nose piece.

I also scored one of those Arai Lackey Replica helmets, i have been looking for about 10 years. (like in my photo below)

Very conservative all night. Savatgy ran it up the inside in the heat, Ando of old would've railed it and not given in, but this time he stood up and got on the brakes. A lap later he's rubbernecking to see who's coming next. Disappointed in that.

It was a horrible race from him and he basically has played up almost all the room for bad races already. Something has to been wrong with him, he looked so tame and cautious.

He was looking behind more than Mike Allessi ever did. That's not a rider who's going to be moving forward in positions.

That helmet is awesome! I had to get multiple pairs, like you said. Those are actually magenta. The helmet and goggles are in Italy now. Had to sell it all.
