Sweet.

Had an RM65 (I.e. KX65 clone) for my older son back in the day. With a small amount off the cylinder base it went from hard hitting power and to super tame at lower RPMs. And then pulled cleanly into midrange.

Great bike choice and setup, why don't manufacturer's hit this niche? Shorter and auto.

That's literally the niche this bike is for. From a mild mannered, super low to the ground wee little bike to full on 65cc sized MX ripping machine, all in one adjustable package.

Can you put Klotz in an essential oil diffuser?

Awesome, I just installed a taller seat, handle bar risers and foot pegs on the pw50 in hopes to get more time out of the pw. I want to skip the fast 50's. I have been eyeballing the kx65 with recluse, flywheel weight, lowering link etc. I have a ttr110 that I will lower and let him get used to it than will most likely go to the kx65. Keep us posted on how everything progresses and what mods were done. Thanks
Figured I'd update this after 2 weeks. I typed up a response on my phone and it got deleted trying to post so here's the short version.

Hayden did ok on our turn track with just the flywheel weight but on the jump track, the "hit" scared the crap out of him and he was afraid to jump anything. Sunday I installed a washer in the pipe that was 38mm OD x 20mm ID and choked it to about 3/4 of the normal exhaust port. That was just about the perfect fix as it choked off the hit a little and seemed to bump the low end and make the overall powerband much smoother. Definitely better than the 12oz FFW.

It seemed to be loaded up at low RPM on Monday and was spooging out the silencer pretty bad but he was way more comfortable on it and jumped everything by the 3rd lap. Today I leaned the pilot from 25 to 20 and installed a hotter plug, BR9 instead of BR10, and it was crisper with no more spooge yet still pretty fast. IMO, that's the way to set up a 65 to transition a kid from a play bike to a 65.
