Here's a video of a full day getting ready for my first race on a dirt bike in 12 years. Riding on a high level when I was younger winning a lot of races in Holland I was forced to quit racing. Now 12 years later at the age of 27 I bought myself a 2004 RM125, planning to just ride and have fun, no races.
Well, as you can see in this video this didn't really work out and after only riding the bike 5 times I decided to race my first race again, just to have fun and see where my speed was at. My aim was top 7 and I got 7th in both heat, so I'm reasonably happy with that. Living on a boat in the centre of Amsterdam doesn't make things any easier and that's what I wanted to show in this video. Also all the years of living in holiday resorts in the snow and sunshine with the additional partying have caught up with me so I was struggling to make it to the end of my heats. After a pretty horrible jump out of the gate I just threw my elbows into the first corner and still had a decent start. In the end it all doesn't matter anyway because I had a blast!
I hope you guys enjoy the video and any feedback is more than welcome! Thanks

You were aggressive in those first few turns.... The guy on the KTM in front of you looked sketchy...The dirt looked awesome.
Even after all that, its still worth it!
I got kind of the same situation, raced when i was younger(27 now), didn't touch a bike for 8 years, 2months ago i bought myself a 125cc suzuki -04. I live in the city so the bike is at my parents house. I don't have to take the train tho, i just need to drive 10mins.
But i cant wash my bike at my parents so i have to drive the bike to a carwash every time.
But as i said earlier, STILL WORTH IT!
The Shop
The rm sounds crisp.
I think If I was living on a boat in Amsterdam I'd have a tough time racing as well.
enjoyed watching it.
Pit Row
2 different trains, then load up and go. Keep it fun and this will be a great adventure for you.
i live like 10 minutes away from there, i often go there and watch when i have a bit of free time inbetween stuff.
Is it the clubrace from 12/6?
