Edited Date/Time 8/17/2012 12:42pm
So I've been traveling around North America for a little while and now Im staying in southern california i finally got a chance to go riding again, so here is a little go pro footage from yesterday at Elsinore. This is on a stock 04' crf250 with an old ti-4 slip on, thing goes hard! haha
The track was so much fun but boy was it hot!

It's not.

It's a local track for me, and I'm sure the race will make money, but this place is not worthy of any more than a local race. At least Pala had one hill.

Somewhere, Bud Feldkamp is laughing right now...

it does in that footage..... ive been there the last two Sundays and it was the opposite.

Ripped Deep and Watered hard..... the track is pretty fun and i think it will make for some good racing. No real Gnarly jumps though, thats for sure. But the track is really Fun.....its just really really HOT. 105+ everyday.... i could only do a couple of laps at a time without feeling like i was getting heat exhausted

Two weeks ago, they put Alot of mulch in with the track and ripped it really good......and i could tell a big difference the next week when it worked in the soil more. the track seems to hold moisture really well..... some of the lips of the jumps get a little bit slick though cause they dont rip the jump faces. Overall, i cant wait for the National to be at Elsinore....should be a great event.

When they water it, it turns into Death Race 2012. All of those baked spots are as slick as ice when they water.

Please bring back Glen Helen.

x2

too many whiners..... i thought MX was a Man's sport?

some tracks are better than others, but at the same time...its all riding. i would ride any track and make the best of it. some of my fondest memories...my dad would drag me to the desert and i would find some way to make a track in the middle of nowhere. with an open mind anything can be good as long as your on two wheels....

definatly..... Glen Helen is a dump unless a big race is going on. but when its Prepped for a National its one of the greatest tracks on Earth

i need to upload some of my Go Pro footage so you guys can see how the track(LEMX) is when it is prepped good. i seen a Unit video of JG33, Paluzzi, Polittelli, and Blake Green today and it showed the track pretty good. if you watch that video above that has the Go Pro Helicopter the track was prepped excellent that day

Have faith, boys. The track you will see on September 8 is 100% different than the one you see here. It will be groomed to national-caliber standards, feature a brand new layout and it will incorporate the new Lucas Oil Truck Track as well as the existing circuit....

You have to remember that Lake Elsinore on a normal practice day is groomed for amateurs and easy riding, not for Lucas Oil Pro Motocross competition. Marc Peters is already out there beginning to make the new course, which will be something I am sure someone will find something to complain about, but will be pretty damn cool.

Track looked fine to me, layout looked good. You can't expect perfect track conditions in the desert when it's 105+ without a National caliber effort.

Some of the track workers were telling me that they were going to incorporate the Truck track.....i just didnt believe them. thats going to make a really really long course.

Lately on the weekend though they are prepping it just like a National and getting all that mulch to mix in good. i personally cant wait for the National.....the Elsinore track is just getting better and better.

P.S. if anyone is coming to California to watch the Elsinore National, Langston Motorsports is throwing a huge party at the shop the Evening before with Autograph signings and so much much more.....
