Nope.

Best race ever was Atlanta 1990. So many changes for the lead. Rick Johnson, Wardy, Chicken, Stanton, Coop, Damon, such an amazing race. I watched it from the stands that night.

I sat down once and watched that video with a pen and paper, and made note of the number of different leaders and lead changes during that race. I can't remember exactly, but I think there were 6 or 7 different leaders and something like 12 lead changes. And the thing is, the battles ensued THE ENTIRE 20 LAPS.

So you're 92' Tampa race may be a good little race, but best ever? I cite the stats above to argue otherwise.

And I was there too. No one ever sat down that night. The girl who I took to the race couldn't have given a shit less about SX, hell she was reading a book during the qualis. When the main left the gate, she was standing up screaming with the rest of us.

Anyone know who #24 was (at Atlanta '90) and what team they rode for? Yammies weren't blue until 96.

Man, I wanted Coop to win that one. Also the Oklahoma city one, where Coop crashed in the whoops.

I was cheering for Wardy from lap #1. But I also loved that RJ was up there and pretty close to winning after the wrist injury. I could have been happy with O'Mara winning too.

Ah, the dark blue TUF plastic lines up better with the screengrab from the video:

moved TUF pics to another thread.

Has there been anything close to ATL 1990 in modern times?
