Looks like they've come a long way since their first prototype at Indy a couple years ago.

Speaking of neck braces... has it been mentioned yet whether or not Ross Maeda was wearing one?

For where his injuries occured, I'm not sure it would have made a difference or not.

They've been working on this concept for several years now, I sure hope they actually plan on selling it at some point. Last estimate I heard it was suppose to come to market in Sept of '08.

Didn't they take orders that year on them?

Interesting. But will it offer enough adjustability to fit all riders?

What are the big gaps on the back table for? It seems like the rim of your helmet could get jammed down in there during a crash and cause some problems.

i like to be able to move when i ride, i couldnt image trying to ride with my leatt and a chestprotector, nevermind them attached..

One thing I do see that's improved from the early prototype is the plastic that covers your stomach has been detached from the plastic that covers your chest.

I'm still concerned with the gaps and the downward sloping rear table could allow the back of your helmet to slide off when loaded in hyper extension. I don't think that would be good.

Very difficult to see with the photo angles and the psycho camo effect. I like the idea of distribution of impact over the whole protector.

Love the idea and i think it would allow more mobility than seperate neck brace and chest protector which is hard to put on andnever seems to sit right. It looks lik it wouldnt feel any different to a normal chest protector sans neck brace.

But that rear section of the neck brace looks weird and im sure 661 has a reason for the big gap but i just cant understand it.

Also love the idea that it protects the entire back and spreads the load far better than any other neck brace on its own. The Leat is a neck brace and only protects to about T7 i think. this would protect right down to around L1 or 2 and i think its revolutionary and besides that wierd gap, and amazing concept.

On a side note, i see a lot of young kids with so much proction, back brace/neck brace/chest protector all seperate and all at the same time that they can barely move. This would allow those parents to feel safe and the kids to be safe, while still being able to move. I hope it comes in a kids size for there sake and at a reasonable price,

Can't understand the design with the huge gap either. Seems to just ruin the point of the whole thing. Maybe is supposed to be a patent-breaker, to avoid some type of infringement with Leatt.

it looks kinda neat... but what happens if you still manage to break your neck in one? how the hell do you get it off? i mean with the leatt and alpinestars, you can, but not with this thing...

Maybe it's for increased airflow?

im tempted to buy this item tomarrow at the soonest.! but im not sure if it will protect me from a neck injury as well as the leat might...im selling my leatt because there is to high of risk for breaking colar bones and upper ribe bone. i brussed it the last time i crashed because the force of the ground shoved the leatt into my chest....i think this will have less force put on my shoulders incase of a crash and i hope it will also save me from a possible neck injurry....anyone worn this before or have any knowledge on if i should get it?

Is it Verizon only or can you use any provider?
