Why is #6 not assigned? Also how many current racers have 125 or 250 or 450 MX/sx titles? I came up with 14. Help please.

No. 6 was Steve Lamson's permanent number. In 2010 Canard won the 250 MX title but chose no. 41 as his permanent number to honor his late father. So, no. 6 is still available. Dean Wilson can choose it if he wins the 250 MX title this season..

125 SX titles don't count towards top 10 #'s.

6 and 8 should be available this year to the 250 mx champ if he chooses to take either

#4 should be available too.. The time that the AMA reserved it for respect to RC is up in 2012.

Thanks, I thought Lammy had been gone long enough. The second question was how many current riders have an Amazon championship?

Lamson called Villopoto after his championship (I think - it was either RV or RD), and said that he would like him to run the #6, but RV declined and said he liked the #2 better (or #5 if it was Dungey, I don't remember which).

A red Bull Honda with 3 6s on the bike with a logo of the Red Bull looking Satan from the movie legend with Tom Cruise. That would be funny. Especially if Canard was riding the bike.

2012 really is the end of the world because Dean Wilson is going to run the number 6 on a Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki - and everybody knows that the monster 'M' is 666 in Hebrew. That's a double whammy of straight up evil.

As far as I know none of the current national pros have won the Amazon championship. It's real hard to find a good ride down there. Laughing

Don't worry, Pro Circuit will be on KTM's next year.

Your lack of proofreading keeps me up at night. Cool

Who could take a single digit number if they wanted that currently doesn't have one? Reed, Windham, Canard, Barcia, Tickle, Millsaps, Pourcel, Lawrence, Weimer. Anyone else I missed? That's a lot of people that could ride a single digit number if they wanted. It's sad to think that Shae Bentley could ride one if he wanted to.

Of those? Reed, Canard. Others are 125/250F SX titles, which are not "national" titles, so they do not qualify for a single digit number.

I guess I learned something today. I thought it was just a championship of any sort, SX included.

SX counts, but not East/West 125/Lites titles. Those are regional, not national.
