The list of entries isnt correct (Oliver is injured i think, Jens Walvoort will ride), but at least it looks like a nice full field again in mx2

Went to KTM group practice in Axel yesterday, someone filmed them during the day. I was there later in the afternoon, so Jonass, Vialle, Olsen etc were already gone. However, Prado was flying, doing some 40 min moto's. Another cool thing to see is how involved Joel Smets is with every KTM group rider. He was working with Adamo alot. I think (and heard) that he will be on orange next year Cool . Tom Guyon and Liam Everts put in a lot of laps. Hopefully Walvoort is ready for this weekend.. serious speed but he needs a good start to show his true potential.

Unfortunately Jens fell at Axel yesterday and has a small injury which will prevent him from starting in Latvia. Which is a shame since it would have been his GP debut (and the wildcard request had been approved)

Yeah just heard the news from his mechanic. Saw his crash yesterday and he seemed hurt..

Tanel Leok racing, always cool to see him on the list.

Talviku doing a wildcard in MX2, that kid rips and I hope he does well. Would be cool if he battled with Elzinga or somewhere near the top 10.

His mechanic is one of my best friends and puts crazy hours each week to get him and a few others of the team to the gate. Young motion has a partnership with the team, so for us its significant and cool to see him ride a GP, my friend

Talviku has been good in EMX250 and Dutch Masters this year, but not a match for Elzinga (1 to 2 seconds slower at these events). My guess would be with a decent start Talviku will fight for points

Kegums is a cool track, and Latvia is a great place to visit.

Looking forward to this one,

He's the son of Kimi's brother, Rami. Tiitus tried to qualify in Trentino but didn't make the cut.

Nice to hear there are still guys and mechanics with passion for the sport in the paddock.

But if you're fair, you've got to admit that Walvoort hasn't got anything to look for in MX2. Let's see how he can improve his results in EMX250 this season and maybe aim for a wild card appearance next season. Going 32-20-25-30 so far in EMX250 just isn't enough to make a step.

I think the back end of MX2 would have a hard time in EMX250 as well to be honest.

I like it that emx guys like Pumpurs, Rizzi, Spiess, Gwerder, etc are in MX2 this weekend and i feel they can compete with mx2 guys like Ambjronsson, Olsson, Haberland and Teresak. I would have expected Walvoort to be in the mix with that group as well.

Jeremy Sydow will fill in for Van de Moosdijk at Husqvarna starting from this weekend. That's his third team this season so far.

You're right, the level of the riders from 20th to 30th is piss poor in MX2 compared to the same positions in EMX250.

You made him look a team hopper.

He is having a deal and contract with Raths Motorsports. But the team is letting him take those opportunity’s with Diga KTM and now the Factory squad. They want the best for the rider and help him to improve, how cool is that.

Props to Raths Motorsport!

To be honest I think some are in MX2 because they know they’re not going through the EMX qualifiers.

Now that you say that it sounded wrong indeed. But I meant that I'm happy for him. I think he did quite good with DIGA-Procross GasGas in 2020, but injuries didn't help him so he had to take a step back to EMX250 in 2021, where he got injured again.

I'm glad he's back in MX2 and he gets chances from other teams.

He is way better then I expected this year. He got 2 rough seasons and wasn’t able to show podium speed in EMX250 last season on a good bike/team. Right now he is 12th in the GP standing, that’s a massive upgrade.

Got me wondering this past winter when they announced he went GPs with Raths. Seems like Raths Motorsports has a good thing going with being able to bring Sydow back on his level as Sadner and Meeuwisen in EMX open/250.

Yeah i would not be surprised. I don't really blame them, they just take advantage of the rules & having the budget. Except for the guys really of the pace (like the suzuki guy at Arco), that's just painfull to watch.

I was under the impression that it wasn't that serious but it was affecting his performance a fair bit. Is there a video of his crash?

The idea was to give him some GP experience and use that to his advantage in the EMX (even higher speed, pressure, level of riders). Seems like he has to wait a few weeks now

MXGP is stacked with 23 guys… This is getting ridiculous, even our local B class has more guys on the gate.
