Prado is so impressive. Every single week he gets better. With the starts he gets he will be a serious title threat next year
Imagine what Prado could have done already without his pre season injury. This kid is just insane. Herlings and Gajser will have their hands full in the next couple of years.

Stupid or not, health requirements/instructions are one of the reasons we are able to watch motocross this year. We should just be happy. Tongue

Btw bravo Prado. First of many wins!

Like I said after the last race, Prado looks more polished than anyone in the field and he’s the youngest. In a few years he could be as polished as Roczen was in 2016 and he would still only be 22. Hopefully he avoids injuries.

The old school tracks do create close racing.

So Seewer got that first win and then follows it up with a bad moto. Bad start and then seemed to just bang his head against the wall behind Desalle. Had he been able to go with Coldenhoff it could have been interesting.

Congrats to Prado on his first MXGP win!

Hopefully Herlings is ok and can come back and still be in the title fight. He’s still 22 points in front of Cairoli, so if he’s able to come back for Mantova he’s still in a good position. From Cairoli in 2nd to Prado in 7th the points difference is only 44 points so anything can happen.

Jeeez why can't people just give compliments anymore?

Tim is a 3x world champ which you don't get by crashing. Jeremy seewer hasn't missed a moto in about 7 years, so rarely crashes (hope I don't jinx him). Antonio is still unbelievably good at knowing exactly how fast to push, and when, and is very much in with a chance of winning number 10. Jorge is a few weeks of bike time away from winning, regardless of who is on the track.

Truly sucks that Jeffrey has got injured but enough with the back-handed compliments to all the other dudes. They all crush it and we're lucky to be able to watch some great racing.
Or a few minutes... 🤷‍♂️

These next rounds are going to be crazy!

Updated the entries a bit for this weekend. Herlings won't line up, neither will the MX2-GasGas boys and Anton Gole.

No update yet about Boisramé.

Even though the MXGP class is stacked, I think the MX2 class misses a lot of talent that are still riding EMX250 for a good GP class ride next year. I wish some of them would ride a select few GP's, but the entry fees are a little high to get to every round.

On the other hand, someone that stood out was Jan Pancar. He was on a private yamaha last year barely getting points, now he is on a KTM. And he was running in the top 10 both moto's (finished 16-10). Okay we've had some big crashes from other riders, but still a good result. Only 30 riders on the gate is not a good thing though.

I don't really have a problem with "only" 30 riders at the starting gate, but more with 20 out of 30 riders scoring points. What's the use? Where has the honor to score points went?

About 25 years ago there were 40 riders at the gate and only the first 15 of them scored points. Back then you could say "I've scored some points today and goddamn' it, I had to work for them".

Okay, thanks! Do you know if there's anything wrong with Haavisto?

Not that I know of. He rode the Finnish championship race normally a week before Italy and after the race said his next race is the final national with no mention about Italy. He has not had the easiest season, so maybe they just decided to focus on the last national and not travel back and forth.

He wants to fight for the Finnish MX2 title this weekend and has focused on it, that was his biggest reason for not doing the Faenza rounds from what i heard.

Jago Geerts has become a member of the "Larry Loop Out Club"

I can’t be happy with this result. My first race was still okay. Third, not bad. Although, I was a bit frustrated that I couldn’t pass Renaux. I felt better in the second race. I was right behind Vialle, preparing an attack when things went wrong. My back wheel got a lot of grip on an uphill section and I couldn’t hold the bike. I’m relieved that I escaped without an injury. I lost some valuable points today, but not the championship. There are still a lot of races to come. I will fight until the bitter end.

Bonacorsi is a human cheat code in those uphill waves. Looks like he barely can hang with the other guys on the rest of the track and then pulls 2 seconds in the waves and the corner leading up to them.

Is Matias any relation to the 3 time World Trials Champion, Yrjo Vesterinen?
