At the end of the MX Vice post race interview, Philips said there is a 50/50 chance and Herlings team manager did not turn it down. Looks like it “might” actually happen.

I've been suckered into false hope before, but this could be one of the most awesome things to happen to the sport in a long time so I'll choose to be optimistic. Would be a mega ballsy move for the bullet to make, big respect if he goes through with it. Man, Herlings vs on form Tomac, the stuff dreams are made of.
It would be so bad ass. With how well Dylan did last year and Eli killing it in supercross, adding Jeffery to the MX series would be epic!
Ktm needs an motocross contender. Marv sx only, AP hurt and probably not a title contender even if fully healthy this year. Webb didn’t have it figured out last year on a dialed in bike so how would he this year on the newest model? Or potentially sitting out the outdoors…. Bring him over, give the people what they want Tomac vs Herlings
84/16 he’s in

To be the FMFOTP you have to race both Supercross and Motocross imo. Our guys don't have the luxury of riding outdoors year round. Maybe 2 or 3 months tops, they have to focus on where the money is, which is Supercross. Very few people care about out the outdoors these days unfortunately.
Well, the reality is that Herlings (KTM) has a less than good chance at winning the Championship in MXGP and the US KTM riders aint looking good for the Outdoors if SX is anything to judge from.
This is a great damn chance for Herlings to check the box of a season in the US.
It's a win for everyone including the Euro fans if he comes over. A one man Euro crusade against the mighty US will generate huge interest.
The odds are good that he he comes over.

Is KTM Europe willing to not have a factory bike in MXGP this year? Seems to me that would be the deciding factor no matter how much we want to see him in the US.
Plus isn't it basically confirmed that Tony is coming over for select rounds? Matthes also made it sound on the last pulp show that Webb was going to sit out the nationals, I didn't think his injuries were something that would hold him back going into outdoors. Maybe they need the bikes for AC and Jeffrey?
AC222 should have started at round 1. I believe he would have been in the hunt for the Championship. Maybe he is enjoying his stress free retirement.

If he does come over and race the US series. I need to see Herlings at Washougal.
Gone:
2006 CRF230F
2008 KTM 200 XC
2017 KTM 250 SX
2019 CRF250R
Current: 2021 YZ250F
Herlings is now 200 points behind and another 50 next weekend so MXGP is done for 2022.
Motivated and healthy Herlings is FMOTP and just racing last MXGP rounds seems nonsense.
Interesting that no one ever talked about Febvre going to the States to ride. It’s always about whether Herlings will.
Will herlings even be fit for ama nationals. I thought his injury and j-coops were pretty much the same. And it's a 4-6 month recovery. If he is good at 4 months he will only just be ready for ama. 6 months he's not even fit for round 1

Even better. Could you imagine how awesome it would be this summer with all of those guys? Once in a lifetime. Fingers crossed for at least herlings.
