3 was two many! They just added 10 more starts to the season, let’s see how many riders this adds to the injured rider list.

There's 3 Triple Crown races.

1 West (Glendale)
2 East (Arlington & St. Louis)

Then there's 2 East/West Showdown. (Atlanta & Salt Lake City)

Triple Crown races and East/West Showdowns are two different things. You should know that by now.

I think 1 is too many. If you're going to have 1, make it a East/West Showdown Triple Crown.

That would shake things up.

If starts are so dangerous and scary why do they all blast into the first turn in practice like it's a Main Event?

Newsflash.....racing Supercross is dangerous....if going through a first turn a few more times makes it "too dangerous" for you then maybe it's time to find a new sport....that goes for riders and fans.

Bring on the Triple Crowns!

By my count West coast has eight standalone rounds and two shootouts for a total of 10. East has seven standalone rounds and two shootouts for a total of nine. Seems weird they would have an unbalanced schedule. Or maybe I am missing something.

I think it was unbalanced last year unless I’m misremembering

I like how the “too many starts” argument is played when triple crowns are being discussed but are cleverly left out of the “bring back the semis!” discussion.

I think 3 is just the right amount. Enough to spice up the long SX season that can get a little redundant at times.

For the triple crowns they should design a track that can be run in either direction then have the 2nd main run opposite the other two.

They did that at the Monster cup in Vegas one year didn't they ? and I remember it was pretty cool and not a bad Idea if they did it at a triple crown. Cool

Triple crown is way more fun to watch for me. I couldn't care less about watching a bunch short ass qualifying races that don’t count for anything but a stupid gate pick.

100% agree. 3-5 triple crown races a year is badass. The more meaningful gate drops the better.

Sorry Mav. I was being sarcastic there with "two" instead of too.

Love me some triple crown races!

It's not Monster Energy enough. Let's have a quadruple crown race next, with flamethrowers, mud pits, and sharks with fricken laser beams attached to their heads swimming in tanks the riders have to jump over. There should also be one of those great, big punching hands that knocks riders off their bikes when they go past, like in that obstacle course TV show. But only at some venues; can't have a consistent scoring method for the whole series, ya know.

More starts and points on the table. WTF is wrong with some of you people?!

Points aren't paid for each main unless something has changed . It's still 26 for the overall win .

Supercross will end up going the way nascar has and will eventually alienate their core fans and ratings will plummet. You don’t need to “manufacture” excitement in SX or really any sport really. Let it be. My 2 cents. I’m probably in the minority but oh well.

^They should pay points for each main, though. And also a few extra for the guy with the coolest outfit.

You say that like it’s a bad thing.Huh Also, am I missing something, doesn’t each format have 6 starts?

If starts are so dangerous, they should do away with starting devices, add a little more skill back into starts and get a little more separation between the riders, and a couple miles per hour less speed going into the first corner!
(Im guessing on the couple miles per hour but I would guess it adds about that.)
