5. Damon Bradshaw won the most supercross races in 1992, but lost the title. Damon was clearly the fastest guy out there, but much like Eli Tomac in 2017, he could not secure the title.
4. Ryan Dungey in defense of his 2010 supercross title, only won 1 race. And he still came close to winning the title, only losing by 10 points after an earlier season mishap that cost him points.
3. Jeff Stanton never raced a 125 in the Nationals, yet he raced a 125 in the Unadilla USGP support class and smoked all the full time 125 kids.
2. Again, Jeff Stanton. Jeff initaially got attention for his results in the 500cc class by finishing 2nd overall in the class in 1987. Honda, at the behest of Ricky Johnson, hired Stanton for a full on factory ride even though he had not won a single race. In the 80s, Honda was royalty and getting a ride was rare. Jeff had a great career at Honda, but he wasn't known for his finesse on a bike. He was known as the guy that man handled the bike, yet he won 3 sx titles and no 500cc titles.
1. JMB won the 1991 250 AMA National Title with no overall wins.
Honorable mention: Trampas Parker's best outdoor finish before going to Europe and winning a World Title was a 14th at Broome-Tioga on a 500 in 1986. In supercross, Trampas' best finish was a 3rd in 1986 at the San Diego 125 WSX. Yet, seemingly out of nowhere, Trampas won 2 World Titles a few years later.

The Shop
Anyone has a picture of the ktm guys kicking the frame back into shape?
Thanks for contributing to the forum in a positive way rather than half the other BS.
Stanton was darn good on the 500 also but Jeff Ward or the KX500 (MxKied, The Rock) would get it done.
KX500 vs CR500 is a great debate.
Pit Row
J. Sloan, is that private track just outside of Oak Harbor still going? I forget the guys name but it was a pretty descent track in his back yard. It was 5 minutes from my house so I rode there pretty regularly for 3 years.

I don’t think they should count, though. Same with Bercy, straight rhythm, etc.
