16 KTM 450 SX-F Owner here, and have bone stock 4cs. I’m an A level rider and ride the SoCal track regularly, including Glen Helen as someone stated above. There is a bit of unpredictability on the initial entry of corners with the forks, but not “unridable” like many of you claim. I swear some of you will find any excuse for your lack of talent.
Amen. While I’m no A rider, I’ve never understood the hate for the 4cs. I got a simple revalve from Craig Decker at Enzo and it works excelent for me.

I haven't seen anything recent on here. I know there's an old thread with some good info in it but I'm hoping someone somewhere has some new info. A little info, I ride a 2015 KTM 300XC. I ride harescrambles and extreme Enduro. I'm an A level rider.

Who is the best for fixing the WP 4CS? The suspension is so bad that I literally hate riding. I don't want to have $2000 into suspension. If I were to put that kind of money into it I would just sell mine and buy a 2018 KTM 300.

Any suggestions on companies who can fix the issues with 4CS at a reasonable price? If so, what seems to be the common price point?

Again, I don't want to get into discussions about buying different forks for $2000+ so please let's leave that stuff out (knowing vital that won't happen though.)

Thanks guys.
I am selling my 2016 husky 300 and getting a 2018. 1500$ usd to make the forks better? It will cost me that to sell and buy a new bike, with better forks.

Update to the 4CS debate:

I rode 130 miles last week on a 16 Husky with 4CS and wanted to chime in on this thread...especially with comments like this above.

14/15 4CS were terrible. No question. Choppy, unpredictable, sketchy and harsh.

*But* that '16 Husky I rode...all day long in nasty rough Northern NV desert, was really surprisingly excellent. Like "holy shit I can't believe these are 4CS".

The 16s received a pretty significant update. I don't know the details, but before you chime in and say everyone is a moron and lacks talent for hating the 4CS, the year of manufacturing makes a huge difference. I had a '14 350 and hated the forks and sold it because of that.

But I could own that 16 Husky and not touch a thing, it was so good (but I will say, the 16 Husky was a big heavy 501, which I assume makes a massive difference in how the suspension is valved and works in general).

I bought this sucker last week. Bone stock standard. I plan to race it. ( Vet B )

Should I keep it or sell it?

Not really mate. She has 4CS forks. Reading the past posts gives me the feeling I shouldn't bother with it. Unrideable some say. And average when fixed. SadUnsure

I had a 14.5 4cs revalved by Enzo, pretty good. 16 4cs stock better than revalved 14.5s. Now I have cone valves, great fork. I've ridden 50mm cv, SSS conversions, compression to top rebounds to the bottom conversions, ohlins insert in stock legs , almost every different version excep the DS inserts. Of course you guys know it's all about set up but for the money buying a insert, Ohlins or DS is probably the easiest and best way to go. Better than SSS conversion.

I actually liked my 4cs forks ( I race A) except on the rare SX style obstacle that they would blow thru the stroke on if I hit it hard enough. I love my CVs but unless you get a hook up they are just not worth the extra money over a quality insert. IMHO

I understood what you were implying. It all depends on what terrain you ride. I’ve had friends in the Midwest be totally ok with them. I live in the Rockies and hated them. A lot. But like I said, the 16s are leagues better so I know it’s not just me being lame as others are implying in this thread. 14/15 is cause for legit concern.

If you’re riding smooth terrain you might be ok. Hard core moto or rough off road, I’d flip it.

I had a local guy work on my forks. He basically converted them. They are much better than before. Still not as good as the forks on my 2011 yz250 though. I rode my buddies 2018 300xc the other day and the forks are 1000 times better than mine.
