After 5th place the talent level drops way way off.
After the top 10 is a joke essentially.

Whos the last top 250 guy to move up? Webb? Who else?

Theres no talent left in the 450 class between injuries and retirement its insane.

Move up all the factory 250 guys and the 450 class might actually have some talent/depth.

Phil nicoletti and bagget finished in the top 10 and their fastest laps were 8+ seconds slower than tomacs. The talent level is so bad its insane.

Seriously besides webb what top 250 guys have moved up in the last 3 years?

There's no denying the 450 class is weak. That being said, you can't blame the guys who are out there still racing. There's really no reason to knock them I guess. And look at the bright side, we have Plessinger, Osborne, JMart, Ciancarillo, Savatgy, Ferrandis etc who should be moving up in the next year or two.

How many guys raced supercross and aren’t racing the nationals due to injury or “supercross only”?

In fact if the “supercross only” guys were out there, it would make a huge difference...then get everyone healthy and the sport seems fine, right?

Baggett’s talent level is bad? The guy passed Tomac and beat him heads up in the last 12 months. Just because Tomac is on another level right now doesn’t mean Blake is considered anything but extremely talented.

I would love to see one premier class with the top riders. If the top 10-15 on 250’s were in the 450 class it would be much better racing. Nothing but privateers in the 250 support race. The 450 class is one of the weakest in recent memory

Thats my thought too. And what i was getting at by asking what top 250 guys have moved up in the last 3 years? Webb is literally the only guy i can think of. No talent moving up, tons of talent retiring or on the sidelines with injuries or retiring from injuries.

You mentioned Eli Ando Musquin and said after top 5 theres nobody. You forgot about Roczen, Baggett, Barcia, Webb, Seely, Bogle, Wilson.... etc. Calm down over there injuries happen but lets not forget the facts here. Its more weird that it took a whole page and nobody thought about this.

Eli, Musquin, Barcia, Baggett, Roczen, Anderson are all racing this season and Webb should be back. Thats a fast top 7 then you get peick, bloss, nicoletti...

Less parents are willing to sell their house and dump their life savings into a sport where only 5 guys make a living off doing it. Cant blame them. That's why our sport is dying. Monster is making a killing while the riders dont get shit. Something is wrong when Reed carmichael and Stew made more in the early 2000s than roczen dung and tomac make now.

Top ten is solid imo and 10 to 14 has some good privateteer guys . But anyone saying the Field is nt week compared to years past is lying . K roc came around the first lap nearly last then pulled into the pits and still finished 8th !!. It's cool for the privateer guys .cause they will get great results this year. And a bit of notice . But People saying this is just the same as RC days is crap. If you think an old cody cooper .who s prob enjoying life more than serious training .on a privateer bike .Top 10 s in 06 field you are crazy and I am sure he would tell you that himself

Yup. Hell the GPs are STACKED. And go look how far back 5th and 15th finishes off Herlings. Just the nature of the sport. The top fast guys get out front and push an insane pace. Everyone else gets caught battling in the pack at a slower pace and then the massive separation begins. Only the elite of the elite can crawl up from the back of the pack. Guys are riding faster than ever and The starts are super crucial. Unless you are Herlings and Tomac.

Plenty of talent still racing . Just guys like Osborne Martin's etc etc would all have moved up in the 90s. Plus there's alot of guy s injured too .
