450 Yamahas

All I read on here is how the new Yamaha's are not competitive with Pro riders, that any other brand is a better choice for top level riders. I laugh every time I read these comments. I just looked at the SX results from the Mini O's.

450 Pro Sport
5 in the top 10 and the win

450 A
7 in the top 10 and the win

450 B Limited
3 in the top 10 and the win

450 B
4 in the top 10 and the win

250 Pro Sport
5 in the top 10 and the win

250 A
3 in the top 10 and the win

250 B Limited
4 in the top 10

250 B
3 in the top 10 and the win

Looks to me like Yamaha has it going on pretty well at the National level. I don't believe it is the bike at all in Pro SX and MX. I believe it is the riders. Obviously these bikes are very good. I am very interested to see how the Star Racing 450s do, now that Factory Yamaha is not calling the shots on engine packages and suspension. I bet you see different results. Barcia probably bailed ship a little too early, and Plessinger could be a whole new rider back under the Star tent.

I’ve said it 100 times on here (well maybe 5) but my 18 is the best machine I’ve ever rode and they say the newest version is even improved further.

Agree, My '19 is a great bike, and my sons '21 is supposed to have some minor improvements.

Rode my buddies '18 and loved it other than it was a 450. I am very happy I got the 250 version

They need to turn the motor around and scrap the intake/gas tank design on those bikes.

Totally. Star has been so uncompetitive since the design came out in 2014. Thanks, scoops

I just bought a 2019 450FX with 44 min run time , I am so impressed with this bike. It is sooooo much better than my outgoing 2018 model.

Love this thing

I don't understand how people can not comprehend that amateur racing is basically irrelevant to the 450 Pro Supercross class. You can call it "National", "Pro", whatever, but the fact is there are completely different factors involved in amateur racing at the Mini-O's than there are in AMA Pro SX at the extreme peak of the sport.

It is the riders! Cooper Webb will never win a 450 SX title! 🤣

I can't wait for Ferrandis to win some races so everyone can shut up about this already.

Careful with ARay. He is basically Donn Maeda that races professionally. Let results speak for themselves.
