15 min moto..fucking eh. maybe they're using the george w bush new math technique

hell i used to raced longer night motos on the wed nite mx at the fremont drag strip in the 70's.

that puts the grand total racing time for the evening at 47.25 min. afuckingmazing....

I thought these football stadiums were supposed feature more space for bigger tracks?

Oh well at least it'll be that much easier for Reed to come off the couch and win.

They need to do like in AX. 20 laps for the Lites, 25 laps for the SX.

I think you're lookin' at 47 sec x 20 = almost 16 minutes!

I do remember 20 minute motos at Baylands, tho!

Whats the average lap time for arenacross? 25-30 maybe 35 sec? Has supercross realy become that close to arenacross?

It's a sprint for the riders and a bad value for the fans.
I also remember the Wednesday races at the Fremont drag strip,wow that really was 30 years ago.

How about the past 3-4 years when we had more than a couple tracks dipping into the low 40's! at least on some of the tracks this year it seemed they tried to lengthen them. But i think there should be a set min lap time, nothing ever, under NO circumstances should the lap times be under 50 sec..period!

It's too hard on pro riders to break a sweat. The plan of making the sport more expensive to become invloved in and making sure there is less racing for your dollar is brilliant. That is why I stopped going to Supercross years ago. You get more racing for your dollar watching literally any other racing sport. Also now we care more about "getting to know the riders" then covering the race properly. Its not about the fans, its about tv.

Another stoopid problem the governing bodies have their heads in the sand about...

It's a simple fix, you can't do a set number of laps as we have seen la times in the 45-60 sec range... so that would be too much of a fluctuation... Just make it a 20 minute moto and 18 for the lites...

If Bobby's math is correct and 47.25 is right for a night, that is rubbish...

It probably doesn't help that the riders can jump most of the straights in 2 hits as well, but we're not talking about 4 strokes here...

Have a go at that track too... what's with the 2 obstacles per straight, and the berm after the quad/triple finishing 20 metres short of the wall...

Can we just move ahead with nets behind the berms already...

Yer, but dammit - they don't run Semis anymore, just heats, LCQ & Final. That should have given them plenty of extra time.


Remember the days when pre-qualifying was held on Friday, with full gates for qualifying at most rounds?
