Lap times were 10 seconds a lap longer a few years ago. What was wrong with that?

This track looks pretty busy as it is , except for the start. They have a knarly sand section and the track looks big in size. I'm surprised the guys are putting in those lap times....but what would you have the track crew do , to make longer lap times? Those ruts tonight.....are going to make things interesting and also think the lap times will be a few seconds longer.

Seal the gear boxes in first gear?

Set the rev limiters to 8000 rpm?

You can't just throw that in at a whim's notice. These tracks have been designed for months and I would guess that nobody knew the lap times would be that low. Again though....the ruts will slow these guys down a bit.

They need multiple track builders to make things more interesting. 17 rounds = 4 different track builders.

Calm big boy. The question was what could they do? Nothing now and I'm not complain but the over/under seems logical to use on smaller floors. Just answered the question. Forgive me.

I think one track of the 17 should contain a whoop section that is a full lane long. That would be quite an obstacle for every rider Cool

With those lap times we might get a 20 minute 450 main..... If the commercials are long enough!

Calm down? Haha.....I'm way calm brotatochip. Laughing I was just stating that putting in an over-under isn't something they can do at a minutes notice. I actually think tonight will be some of the best racing we have had this year. Those ruts are getting extremely knarly! Hoping it doesn't claim any riders tonight.....but right now , I think that's wishful thinking.

They could make the bikes drag around an extra bag of concrete mix that they have sitting on the skid. That'd slow'em down a little.Laughing

GOD will you guys EVER stop complaining about everything?
Go ahead and draw a trackmap on paper and try to estimate how fast the guys will be going around the track...

Most passes for the lead happened at Atlanta SX in 1990. Would it be impossible to replicate and run that track every year?

Why is this a surprise? Every year this happens in football stadiums and you guys act surprised. They simply don't have the floor space.

The tracks are designed to be mid 50 second lap times. This one got away from them.

Imagine if they would actually have a real set of whoops like they used to have, and not a stupid wall. And the bikes themselves are outgrowing the stadiums.

Just build an uphill whoop lane all the way up into the stands. And give all fans a woofle bat to beat riders with.

The track is designed with all full length lanes. That is going to lower lap times regardless of floor space.

Shorter the better, it will make for a more competitive Main. There are only 2 riders that can hold the same pace for 20 laps
