No world champs but some 125 SX/MX and an AX champ in there. Some fast +40 dudes as well all through that list!

What I think is kind of funny is that 7 out of the top 10 (8 if Keefer is riding a 17) are riding bikes with a kick starter. I thought I read on here somewhere electric starts were for vet riders....

What I found amazing was that there were a lot of fast guys in 40+, but supermini 2 which ran the very next moto (so similar track conditions), ran faster lap times. Even great riders get old and slow.

I am pretty sure they cleaned up the track a little before the Supermini moto, not a full intermission but they had the tractors out in the corners on the web stream. 40+ was the 4th moto, and Supermini was 9th, they went right after the 30+ guys but I believe the rules for the class are different for entry.

But yeah Supermini was hauling ass, probably train harder too.

They were running faster than 30+ also. Matusek, the winner of 30+ would have been battling for 6th or 7th in supermini based only on lap times.

Grewe is making a case for being the best Vet rider ever at LL's.

The track is more suited to the super mini's imho. To call those guys slow is a stretch Smile

40+ has past champs, but I don't think you can ride 30+ if you scored pro points or something like that so I would think some 40 plussers might be faster but they are getting old. Grewe is 51!

I am not discrediting the Supermini, they are the kids that are one step from the pro riding 170lb bikes that are probably every bit as fast as a 250f...

Do you mean 30+? The class where former points-earning pros are not allowed?

Masterpool was flying in Supermini. Had TM ever won a moto at the ranch before yesterday?

I would say Kevin Foley or Kevin Walker has them covered at this point. Robbie Neely has several also.

Kevin Walker has 13 vet titles, Kevin Foley has 8 vet titles and 2 A class titles for 10 total, Doug Dubach has 9 vet titles and John Grewe has 5 will probably add 1 more this year.

Is Grewe the same guy who used to be a tester for Cycle World (I think it was) back in the day?

Pretty sure. I thought he was like 60, but heard them say he's only 51.

Let's not talk about that guy.
Alessi ran the same laptimes on supermini as 250B/450B in 2003.
