Round 4 of the season, at the "new" venue of Oss. Literally a home GP for Glenn Coldenhoff, as he was born and raised in this town.

Additional classes are EMX250 and EMX Open.

I am expecting Herlings to 1-1 here, he needs to take big points where he can, Febvre is on it right now, and Coldenhoff is settling well on the Yamaha.

As far as the sand specialists go, you also cant write off Cairoli either.

Be interesting to see how Ben Watson goes on his first sand GP in MXGP, but honestly , top 10 at this point is decent, and he has done that the last 2 rounds, and i also think Nathan Watson will be a bit more like what we expected of him.

Remember him qualifying second in the sand in Finland, behind Filip Bengttsson of all people, so he has speed , be good to see him top 15

As for MX2, Geerts needs to start firing on all cylinders here else he is just not going to get himself back in the hunt.

100 Entries in EMX250, thats how MX2 used to be back in the 125 days.. hard pack guys would struggle to make the cut against the sand specialist locals.

Be good to see a new venue on the calendar , was down to go, and then do Loket and Lommel in a big trip, instead i will be watching on MXGPTV and drinking in the sun,

Gonna be exciting to see a new track and how sand mixes up the results. Big Ken in EMX Open is gonna be fun! Also, Emil Berggren might turn some heads in the Open class. I don’t follow Swedish motocross that much but watched the first national races on youtube and he was hanging with and at times smoking guys like Östlund, Gole and Sihvonen.

Gajser has improved huge amounts in the sand he’s also a threat to go 1-1. GC will be a 1-1 threat as well
Geerts looked a lot better in Maggoria but still lacking that speed from last year. Guadanini I wanna see him do good after a bad start he’s done good with good starts.
I noticed you said drinking in the sun watching the GP? Well your listed as GBR so one of 2 things gunna happen. There will be no sun or if there is you’ll get sunburnt you pasty Pom :-)

watching videos of the track its not really such a sand track. Southwick is more of a sand track than Oss.

It’s got more like a harder base like Valkenswaard. Ground to me feels like the whole track is almost the same as the ground off Valkenswaard on top off the hill.

The more the rain the rougher and sandier it gets, there been quite allot off rain the last 2 days so i expect it to be rough and challenging.

I've raced there a couple of times, if it's dry, it gets really hard not really a deep sand track. Hard to pass on as well.
If it's wet, and it will be wet, it's a nightmare to race on. Not really rough like lommel or lierop no huge bumps but a lot of deep ruts which can be tricky up and down hill

Track is good! You have to pick your spots to watch but the hills make it exciting. But man, so many wave sections will make it one lined

Well, Lapucci played things well.

Talviko (sp?) seems to have a case of the RJs!

Track looks good - a rare (bit of a) 'uppy and downy' Dutch track.

I was wondering if it was one of the Dutch tracks I've been to over the years - I just couldn't place it in my muddled old Bear brain. But, once I saw it, it was one I'd got to, and that I'd wobbled around in what seems like another life.

Seems a lot more spectators than was noted as the maximum are there today. Good stuff.

Lets hope they have this glorious weather all weekend.
