I'm wondering if the solution to the mega-dollar competitive 250F and noise issue can be handled at the same time?
From what I've read/heard, the MX2 bikes are much quieter than our 250F's, and that they're down on top-end power from the muffling. If a restrictive muffler only allows the engine to make a certain amount of power, then wouldn't that make it unnecessary for ultra-high dollar motors- they're strangled to the point that "X" HP is the upper limit anyway?
Yes, I know that the correct solution is to add 250 two-strokes to the mix, but the F's aren't going away anytime soon.

The sound deal for outdoors is stupid.
If a more stringent sound regs end up choking up the motors so there's little use in spending mega dollars, then won't that end up helping out the privateer, not hurting him?
