I'm wondering if the solution to the mega-dollar competitive 250F and noise issue can be handled at the same time?

From what I've read/heard, the MX2 bikes are much quieter than our 250F's, and that they're down on top-end power from the muffling. If a restrictive muffler only allows the engine to make a certain amount of power, then wouldn't that make it unnecessary for ultra-high dollar motors- they're strangled to the point that "X" HP is the upper limit anyway?

Yes, I know that the correct solution is to add 250 two-strokes to the mix, but the F's aren't going away anytime soon.

They'll still bling out their bikes for maximum acceleration.

Any rule they make to alter the bike will always hurt the little guy.

The sound deal for outdoors is stupid.

Disagree with sound not being an issue, but that's not my point/question.

If a more stringent sound regs end up choking up the motors so there's little use in spending mega dollars, then won't that end up helping out the privateer, not hurting him?
