Just picked one of these up earlier this week. Was able to break in on a turn track and love it so far.

Anyone else get their hands on the 250 or 300SX? Curious how they have been for others. No issues with mine. Love the power delivery. Just curious what others are experiencing with it being such a new bike with the FI.

Thanks!

I have one. rode around the block yesterday. Accidently hit the start button while the engine was running. Now I have the Fault 50 code. FI light. Five slow blinking lights. Ive heard of other people having the same issue. Puts the bike in a rich condition. Only the dealer can reset. Headed there tomorrow to get reset.

Unbelievable how many issues are popping up with this bike. KTM has spread themselves to thin and shows.

I have 4 perfect hours on mine and I’ve already sold the 22 yz250 two stroke and considering selling my 22kx450sr , I absolutely love my 300. Best all around bike I have owned so far !

Please keep us posted with the code remedy’s. My buddy and I just picked ours up the other day. He currently has the 5 flashing lights, but my bike still has none. Probably because I haven’t rode it yet. I’m awaiting the flashing lights though. Appreciate any input. Thank you!!!

I'm headed to the dealer this morning to drop off the bike. They will reset the ECU. i will let you know if there is any resolution to the issue yet. Apparently it will need a software update.

I have heard of a possible 2 issues. from maybe 4 people.

And both are easily fixed.

Why are some hitting the start button while riding?

Maybe move the start button a little so they do not hit it while riding?

I am at 4hrs no lights, dont hit the start button while its running. KTM will most likely have a ECU flash to address it.

The 23' start/stop control on the handle bar is one control with two buttons. When you go to shut the bike off you can easily put your thumb on the wrong button. They are different colors but close together.

Thing is, it is a very stiff button.
So it is just user error.
Really should be an easier way to reset the ECU than go to a dealer though.

I and others have tried the power valve reset procedure (Fault 50 code) but this does not reset it. I hear its a software issue that will require an update.

Others on youtube have and it did not resolve it. I will try this morning before I head to the dealer.

OK that explains it. Both my KTM and Husky have them on both sides of the handlebar. I was thinking that maybe they wanted to change the map and hit the wrong button.

Making a different start button Sounds like a great invention idea.

It’s really the only thing you can try before going to a dealer…nothing to lose….

Picked mine up last Saturday. Itching to ride it but it's too cold here in Ohio. Have not seen any codes or flashing lights but I did foul a plug on break in. Rookie move

Sounds just like when snowmobiles went to fuel injection. Boxes of plugs and trips to the dealer for reflashes...

You shouldn’t have to drop it off, they should be able to clear the code while you wait.

I have almost 10 hours on my 250XC. I have had the Fault 50 blink since 1.2 hours and I don't know how I got it since it started while I was racing a Hare Scramble. Bike runs awesome and no differently than it did when I didn't have the fault. No fouled plugs either. Mixed 50:1 with Champion WP2 oil..

Startup and warming the bike isn't the same as the TPI bikes. Don't let them sit and idle until the radiators are warm. It mentions it in the manual as well.

I'd just ride it until the fix is out. It's not hurting it and it doesn't run any differently. The lights also only flash at idle.

Not true, the blink code for hitting the start button while running has absolutely no effect on the mapping.
