As much as I recognise these guys as some of THE gnarliest racers to ever live, I just don't see it. Too much time behind them and too much talent ahead of them now.

It's not looking good for Stewart right now but Reed if he gets a start could still pull it off although it isn't as likely as it once was.

Both riders are still capable. Neither can catch a break lately though, so they may not get another chance.

Thanks OP, I was kind of worried there for a while trying to figure out if either had any wins left in them. Now I know I can put that baby to bed.Wink

Time to move over the the rumor mill threads on riders going to new places. I'm kind of worried where that is actually going. Sure could use some of that magic insight there.

As much as I hate think that this is a possibility, all signs point towards either guy having a pretty tough time beating the present group. Reed by far has the best chance, but if he doesn't get one this year and doesn't race outdoors, then all of these other dudes will have another year of racing behind them while Reed doesn't stay in it to the same degree. James has an awful lot of work to do to get up to speed again and that is the harsh reality. Does he even want to is the big question.

If Reedy gets his starts figured out he will be fine. I think it is obvious he hasn't ridden the way he wants to minus San Diego 2. Dude is capable of wicking it up when he wants.

Reed kept Dungey honest at San Diego this year. I think if he can buy a f'n start then he can still win one this year. I sure hope he does cause I have a bet with Grieby that he will.

JS7... I thought he could before the year started, but now I don't think he can even finish on the podium.

Damn, sorry Chris. Totally my bad on the bashing. I thought from the thread title that the OP was stating a fact and I completely missed the part where he was giving his opinion. Happens a lot on Vital that when someone comments, it's written as fact and not opinion. I was just shocked at how he could predict the future with such confidence.
