Anyone have one yet ? What are your thoughts ?
I'm on a 19 kx 450 set up the way I want it and love it . I've ridden a 21 Honda and liked but 1st year Honda's always suck so thinking maybe 22

I just got one Wednesday, much better than the 21 as far as power delivery and suspension, love it! Highly recommend it!

I’ve got a 22 WE arriving in September. Can’t wait! Would be interested in hearing people’s thoughts on them too.

I'm curious to hear 22 owner opinions as well. Dealers in Socal actually have them and I want one so freaking bad even though my 17 is dialed. Is the bike a lot better than the 21? Good mapping? Suspension closer out of the box? How many hours do you guys have?

4 hours on mine. The 22 is now a solid bike right out of the box. Probably the only bike I’ve ever owned that I’ll keep completely stock.

I would agree with that completely, I’ve got about 3 hrs on mine, only thing I did was set the sag and adjust some clickers, I’m leaving it box stock!

In my opinion Honda fixed what the faults were on the 21, to me the maps are better, smoother power delivery, suspension is way better and works better for a wider style, size, and talent level of rider. Very happy with my purchase. 😎👍🏻

I give you guys both less than 20 hrs of ride time, before you do some mods.

That's half the funEvil

Congrats on the bikes! Will be looking forward to hearing more ride reviews.

As the owner of a ‘21, here’s my question:

Are the ‘22 maps the same as the reflash maps Honda did for the ‘21s or are they completely different?

I ended up buying another 19 kx450 . I found one with under 2 hrs on it for 6500 so all my stuff transfers over . At my speed I couldn't justify the extra 5k plus starting over with setup . Thanks guys for your input .

Sounds like a badass machine. Stoked to hear you guys are happy with it bone stock. Thanks for the insight bros. Shit man I want one so bad!

@MX558 That’s a really good deal. People sure seem to love that 19 Kawi. I haven’t had the chance to ride one

I have a 22 450R with about 5 hours on it. Coming off of a '19 RWE, the bike is noticeably lighter and more nimble. The engine characteristics are similar to the '19/20 but power delivery seems to be a bit smoother. The hydraulic clutch is new to me but first impressions are positive. I had several of the previous gen. models and really enjoyed them, so I would consider myself a 'Honda' guy. Overall, this is hands down the best 450 I have owned or ridden.

Didn't MXA tell everyone to wait for the 22 ?

Basically, yes. This happens every four years with Honda.

Is there really that much of a noticeable difference between the 19 WE vs. the 22 R ?
Currently have a 20 WE & I’m considering picking up a 22 WE, but feel the 20 WE is the best 450 I’ve ridden to date. Hard to imagine the 22 WE being that much better.

Outside of suspension everything I’ve read says the new gen is a better bike.

Light years better for me. Across the board, I can't think of one think the previous generation did that I prefer over my 22.
