Whether or not that’s true and not accountant speak to save money, I don’t know because I’m not a metallurgist lol

I do know the DLC looked a lot better
I’m assuming it’s a harder chrome than that found on a standard fork. Assuming being the key word.

Also DLC looks way better and we all do it for looks in the end anyway 😂

One of these edition bikes should come with Cone Valves.
Why, so the vet riders who buy these 'edition' bikes can pretend they notice the difference?

Of the entire VitalMX site, Digger is probably the hardest thing on my wallet.

Looks great!

WP XACT 5448 vs AER for standard MC450. I believe the shock is the same.

I was hoping to see a 51 on it but appears to come without numbers.

Suspension Front and Rear appear to be the same stuff as on my 21 Rockstar Ed.

Note: I would still take Digger29's bike over this one. It's amazing... ( I may or may not have ridden it once Wink )
and you rode it with stock suspension and stock ECU. It was so new that day the only thing I had done to it was adjusted the TPS and put my spare Rockstar wheels and the full FMF from my Rockstar on it. You should ride it now with the CV's and Trax and updated tunable ECU. It's a whole different bike with the suspension and with the MotoLab's dyno tuned set up.

I will sell it just the way you see it for the right price. It has 14hrs on it and probably 4hrs on the suspension. Feel free to call or text me if you have any questions. 508 243 1232. Thanks, Mike

They are a chrome look finish but they have some sort of low friction coating on both the upper and lower tubes, testing has been done by a fella in Australia here and the new Pro Components coatings have a high lubricity and lower coefficient of friction then the previous black DLC Cone Valves.... Exactly what the coatings are no one is saying as far as I know

I see my comment was deleted…

Anyways, the bike looks cool. I agree with Motoman35, Diggers is better

That’s really interesting, wish we could know more about it!

I wonder if KTM made this edition to sell an over-run of frames and parts before they move to the 5th gen 450 platform?

It would make sense if they had a backlog and wanted to get rid of some material at a premium price before the move to the shared frame with the KTM/Husky bikes.

Curious about that also. If the '23 GG will stay on the existing platform or not, perhaps.

This in the armature world is called stock versus modified. Its the C and B riders giving back to the Pros.

Meh... I'd buy a used digger bike before the new release. It'd atleast have CV's on it.. they're dropping the ball there.. I'd seriously contemplate selling my WE..

C Class riders pay Glen Helen’s rent and keep the sport alive.

In other words, pipe down.

I just picked on up Friday 2022 Troy Lee MC450. Does anyone know what the spring rate on the stock shock is? The manual gives 3 options. 42 45 48 but doesn't say which one is standard. I just did my first ride and it felt a tad soft in the rear. Going to check sag today and see if the standard spring will work. I am not finding much along the lines of settings for this specific red KTM or should I just be following KTM settings.

the spring should have it printed on it… 260 is the length of the spring if i remember correctly and then a 45 or 48 for the spring rate. if i was at home i would take a picture of mine for you

My 22 KTM SX-F 250 FE and all the Austrian bikes I know come with 42Nm spring standard.

They are very under sprung with 42’s. Most guys need a 48 or heavier.

Thank you. I just found it. It's a 45. I weigh 200lbs. I probably need the 48 I am guessing.
