A little birdie just told me that GasGas will be releasing a MC450 Barcia edition very soon. I honestly didn't see that one coming. I'll be very interested to see exactly what will be on it.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but in my 2022 MC 450 manual (the online manual) there are pictures and specs for the TLD GasGas edition. I'm sure one is going to be announced soon.

Comes with a higher range rev limiter. Ha! I kid, I kid.

Funny, I couldn’t make it to the race Saturday night but my son went with a friend in my place and one of the things he commented on was Barcia reving the shit out of his bike.

One of these edition bikes should come with Cone Valves.
You want to add another 2g to the price tag?

Better than adding another $5,000 which is what many do. I guarantee they would sell.

IMO, True WP Pro components will never be be offered on a production motorcycle from the KTM group. They are not consumer friendly “set the clickers and go”’type components.

The stock AER 48s are great IF they are set up properly.
A few 250 KTM guys were on re valved stock suspension at Anaheim.

For what I have into my 350, an extra 2k is nothing for a vet rider 😂

The manual gives instructions on how to take someone out in a corner…

I'd pay an extra $2k for XACT Pro components. Problem is, it would be way more than $2k extra for that suspension.

Yup, I built my own. Might not be a trick as Barcia's but it works for me :-)

Wonder if they’ll come with the method wheels. There are select groups that will open their wallets specifically for that cosmetic, and others that will be needlessly infuriated.

Did get your lower fork tubes anodized black? Looks much better that the chrome tubes!

Those are Cone Valves. The lower shafts are DLC coated to reduce friction

I printed the online manual to have a paper copy in the shop as soon as I got my 22', nowhere in the manual is the Troy Lee mentioned. After reading your comment I just re-downloaded it and sure as shit its in black and white. They must have recently revised the manual which sounds promising.

Yes they are, but the Xact pro (cone valves) comes with crome lowers and has for some time.

If I remember correctly they changed from black DLC when the cone valves went to silver upper tubes. That’s why I’m asking - my cone valves are chrome and I was wondering if that was stock form or anodized later on. Smile

Edit: thats how the cone valves are delivered here in europe at least!

No you are correct. I’m not sure why but the newest version of the CV does come with chromed lowers. I’ve wondered why as well. These are a 2017 fork I believe

Either way, black DLC looks bitchin’ and much better than chromed. Smile

Google did friendly things! Xact Pro press release

No, they're 21 CV's that Powerband built for me with DLC lowers. I was going to go blue Ti like I did on a previous FE450 but Billy talked me out of it because it just doesn't hold up and have the durability of DLC. These CVs pictured here that Billy built for me in 2018 with silver upper tubes instead of black and the blue Ti-Nitride lower sliders began to wear at roughly 8.5hrs which was NOT good in my book.

Let me know when you’re ready to sell it, I may be in the market

So looks like the TLD MC450 comes with factory start, launch control, traction control, different suspension, motor guard, red clamps, AK Exhaust, rotor guard, mx33, and possibly other parts that I am missing.

WP XACT 5448 vs AER for standard MC450. I believe the shock is the same.

I was hoping to see a 51 on it but appears to come without numbers.

The XACT 5448 is the standard air fork. The settings for the Barcia edition will match the 21/22 KTM 450 SX-F US settings, the standard MC450 matches the KTM 450 SX-F EU settings.

Or just have some stickers made up since there is nothing "Method" about them other than some stickers.

Probably upgraded wheels and hubs too.. like it's other Factory Edition Siblings.
Suspension Front and Rear appear to be the same stuff as on my 21 Rockstar Ed.

Note: I would still take Digger29's bike over this one. It's amazing... ( I may or may not have ridden it once Wink )

I thought somebody at AEO or WP had mentioned the newer chrome plating was just as tough as the old DLC that came on the cones.

Whether or not that’s true and not accountant speak to save money, I don’t know because I’m not a metallurgist lol

I do know the DLC looked a lot better
