I'm thinking of picking up another 450 (have 19kx450 dialed for me now) .
Both bikes are same price and under 20 hrs I was wondering pros and cons on both ?

I own an 18 yz450f since new.
Briefly owned a 19.5 husky RE

Husky pros:
Thinner, better ergos
Feels really balance to me (Yamaha squats a tad)
Corners better
Engine is more mild and quiet

Yamaha pros:
Superior forks, don’t listen to what anyone says. The husky forks were “ok”
Yamaha shock is better, not as far off as forks.
Yamaha to me has a more free revving engine and noticeably more grunt.

That’s my vet B 205lb review.

I’m a Yamaha guy obviously, however with the fork conversion id have a hard time not picking the Husky. My Yamaha didn’t sell so I kept it instead.
Also, I could tell a weight difference putting it on the stand but not on track.

Thanks guys . Both are 8 k and in great condition . I had a 19 350 for a short time , I'm just not a revver and those are slow as shit down low . Not to mention the forks suck especially compared to my kx .

They are very different dirt bikes.

The Husq feels slower but is faster and much easier to ride longer than the yam

the Yam has better stock suspension.

By the way, why did someone downvote an honest simple question by the OP? The up and downvotes need to go away if they remain anonymous. Members who downvote everything for no reason should be known.

Depends on what type of riding you do. The Yamaha is a great bike and rideable with the stock suspension. If the tracks you ride are tight and you want to compete to be faster then I would go with the husky.

Can’t really say one or the other has better ergos acrossed the board. Each bike will fit a specific body type better than the other. Long arms, short legs shirt arms, long legs. Height in General etc

Get the one that fits your “build“ the best they are both great bikes.

I currently own a 20 Yamaha, had a KTM/Husky before.
One more thing to consider - Clutch (I dont abuse it much) on Yamaha I got about 50 hours (plates were fine, the basket toast) - KTM - I got over 100 hours - didn't do anithing to it.
Yamaha - piston/rod broke at about 50 hours (service manual says 35 hours to replace) - KTM I had 120 hours on it when I sold it - nothing happened
Yamaha - starter clutch is toast - at about 60 hours, all other bikes - I even didn't know there was such part on a bike.

I have a 21 Rockstar Edition and my riding buddy has a 21 YZ 450. The Husky feels a lot lighter and definitely corners better. The Yamaha has great stock suspension but the new air forks aren't bad by any means. I did put Cone Valves on my Husky and they make a big difference. The biggest problem I have with the Yamaha is that the motor is so snappy, jerky. I could barely hold on when I got tired. I tried the Magic map and it is better but its still alot of motor. My Husky has the Connectivity Unit and I have the engine breaking and throttle response turned down and that is a game changer for me. Much more manageable and I can ride faster, longer. I had three 350s prior to my Rockstar and honestly I prefer the 350 engine but I couldn't get one for months and didn't want to wait. I bought the 450 and to be honest, I'm faster on it than my 350. I've ridden a new KX 450 also. My vote goes to the Husky but you can't go wrong with either.

*** Also one thing to consider, The Rockstar Ed is NOT 10mm lower like the regular 21 450. I'm 6'1 and I like that better than the lower chassis on the Std FC's.

You got a 450 Kawi? Great bike.....one of the best i've ever owned. I still have my 2019 with 100 hours on it....runs great and still feels good.
