I heard a lot of negative feedback of the 10mm lowered suspension on the Husky FC450. I’m looking for a new TC250 or 250SX, and wondering is this also a drawback on the TC250? Thanks!

While I haven't ridden the huskys most reports say it isn't as good as the ktms . My buddy has a 22 husky 350 and I have 22 ktm 350 so we can compare them when the weather is better
I have a 2020 FC350 with the normal suspension and a 21 TC125 with the short suspension. It's not exactly an apples-apples comparison because the 2-strokes have different valving than the 4-strokes, but I like my short 125 a lot. A big part of that is because I have short legs and can't reach the ground. I suspect a 125 being so light, the complaints people have about the short suspension on a 450 are likely less of an issue.
I have a 2021 Husky 450 and love the lowered suspension. I'm a short ass as well and it is nice to touch the ground. Would love to have a 2022 TC250 with the same feel. FWIW-the MXA gang rave about the Husky's lowered feel.
I have a 22 TC250 and have no complaints about the lowered suspension specifically. Any complaints i have are about air forks in general. I had my best race season ever last year and i attribute some of that to the handling of the lowered suspension. The turning ability on this bike is unreal.
I have a '22 TC250 Husky and a '21 KTM SX250. I'm only 5'9'' and I like the Husky better in the pits due to it's lowered suspension. It's definitely a little lower. On the track I prefer the KTM. Stock suspension on the KTM in my opinion is amazing. I can't get the Husky suspension to feel as good. Considering how many parts they share it's amazing how different the feel (to me). Finally, I have 100 hrs. on the KTM and only 20 hrs. on the KTM. Plan was to have the KTM as the practice bike and keep the low hour, fresh Husky as the race bike. But more often than not I go to the line on the KTM....it fits me like a glove.
Do you think it’s a geometry issue, or something that can be valved to correct?
They shorten the forks and also drop the back end 10mm, so the geometry should be constant.
Since the air chamber is 10mm shorter, there is potential for the spring rate to ramp up slightly quicker but I bet that is negligible.
I got some shorter husky forks to retrofit my 2018 150sx, SDI sells a piston back plate that is 1mm shorter, to shorter the shock 1mm. Given a 4 to 1 ratio, this should drop the back of the bike 4 to 5mm
