We've all seen the new 450 by now, but what updates can be expected for the YZ250f? I'm sure the complete remodel won't be release for a year or two, but I'm curious if they update anything from the 22 model.

It's been discussed by a few outlets. 250F will be a year behind, just as it had been. It got the big refresh in '21 and the 450 got it in '20. So '24 will be the generation change for the 250, getting updates similar/based on the '23 450.

It’s weird because in 2006, 2010 and 2014 Yamaha updated both models the same year. But I get that Covid has messed some shit up for sure.

No changes. All new next year. The reason it made no headlines is because there is nothing to report.

The new app would have to apply to the 2023 model, correct? The new app has all the old stuff on it with some new things. I can’t see them having two tuner apps.

I asked Keefer and he said there is an app update coming. So I assume that will be 1 app that works on the current models too. Maybe some of the features that are unique to the '23 will only be available if you select that model and the other models just won't have that option (like the lap timer etc.)

Looks like my 2014 YZ250f stays in the garage another year.

Aside from having to kick start my 2014, I love it.

The '14 is still an incredible bike. Still very competitive and relevant, in my opinion. I loved mine. I'm excited for next year's '24 but at the same time, I absolutely love my '21 so I am not sure if I will be in a hurry to move to the new-gen. I'm sure I'll get one but right now I'm just enjoying the 1 that I have.

Exactly how I feel. My 21 is pretty well sorted out to my liking. Its been a solid steed, might get the new bike in 25
