Anyone got one? What are your stats and set up tips? My boy got his 450 yesterday. Waiting on my 350. He is 19, about 6’1, 190 no gear, regional pro in XC/HS. Me im 50 slow A rider in same, 5-10, 190-195.
We got his sag easily at 103 without gear. Forks about 150psi. For a few back yard ovals. Race tech says 5.14 spring on shock and forks at 158.9psi.

Should be able to get 38/105 with 4-5mm preload and option to run 40/107 with a bit softer feeling.

I love my 2016, but if these chassis are as good as they say........
I only have 3 hours on my 23 350XCF, but I just tried keefers 22.5 450sx settings yesterday and am pretty happy with how it feels. Very plush with good hold up. Need to get it on a rougher track though, my track is hard pack and barely develops any real bumps besides some small braking chatter into corners.
Fork:
C-14
R-12
Air Psi:
Post break in 11 bar- 159.5 psi
Pre break in 10.9 -158 psi
Shock:
65mm chain slack
105mm sag
C-13
R-14
HSC 1.5-1.75 out
Hope you have good luck with it!
3 hrs on bike when we started, 5hrs when we were done, so still breaking in I guess.
Finally did some offroad laps (not mx) on the boys 23 450xcf. We are pretty decent on stock suspension, power (map 1, tc on!) was good, didnt scare the old man(51 vs 19) I was ~20 sec a lap slower on a ~2 min loop we used for testing, but felt pretty good. Definitely going to need a revalve for his speed, maybe the 6500 kit too. We had great result on the 18&20 350’s with the ktech conversion. So, yeah this bike compares well to the older ones. He said shock feels close to what his bladder shock with custom valving felt, so cant wait to see how good it can get!
We are both around 189/190 lbs (naked), ran 150psi, Comp -18, Reb -17. Shock 48nm, HSC -1-3/4, LSC -17, Reb -15.
Loop was hard pack dry, to deep sandy river bottom, to some wet slick areas, no huge kickers, ugly accel holes that had been washed to reveal some rock/root edges at angles, some good corner ruts, some flat. Anyways. Am impressed. Excited about my 350 coming in eventually.
