I was really hoping these stupid Feld power rankings would be killed by COVID but no such luck. This just in, Jason Anderson is not even top 10 according to 75 industry experts.

Without reading your post, the Anderson thing was my first thought after seeing the top 10 450s.

Power rankings, it’s they why we have a points system? That’s is the only rankings that mean anything.

Who should he really be above on that list?

If had to choose one rider, maybe Marvin …but seriously who else? Stewart? Plessinger? Adam?

The list looks pretty accurate to me, but guess it could be a toss up for the bottom 4

Look at the 250 Rankings.

That’s a stacked list of riders too and pretty accurate…You could swap some guys around, but ultimately it would be the same. Maybe Shimoda ahead of Martin…but what else?

2 guys that finished 2nd in the points standings at the bottom of the list. Yeah, makes sense.

Both should be above Forkner, Hampshire, and McAdoo.

That is strange they don't have Anderson in there, if you remember how fast he was at end of season.

I think I would put all those dudes above Anderson. Are we looking at the same picture?

I love AC at number 7. The guy has finished 16th and 15th the two previous years, but we're going to put him at 7th. The "Industry experts" just can't lay off the hype juice

So we have only 3 SX 450 champs on the gate and you put one off those 3 out off the top 10. This must be a joke right.

With all respect butt there a a few guys that are way to over hyped, and never gonna get a 450 SX title. You can down vote or dislike but it’s the harsh truth.

Never been a big #21 fan but this is something laughable and disrespectful.

Last season has nothing to do with this year.

Sleeping on Forkner. Kids got more supercross wins than anyone in the 250 class.

OK since I posted it but did not elaborate, here are my thoughts:

Ferrandis in 4th - the guy has ONE 450 SX podium and it was in the 2nd race of 2021. Yes he's the outdoor champion, but he has to prove it in SX in the big class before we start putting him ahead of Barcia, Musquin and Anderson who all have multiple wins in the big class. Put Marvin in 4th (everyone is sleeping on him) and Ferrandis in 8th.

Anderson - this is ridiculous. The guy has many wins and a title but somehow Ferrandis, Sexton, AC, AP, and Malcolm rank above him. 5 guys who have never won a race in the 450 class are better than Jason Anderson. I know many of us judge him as a guy who has got his title and is just happy to put in a decent effort and collect a pay check, but apart from being injured in 2019 he has not be awful since his title in 2018. At worst he should be in 6th.

So much hype on AC, Sexton and AP heading into 2022 as well. I could easily bounce AC or AP out of this top 10.

I guess I place more value in previous results than future potential.

And I could care less about a 250 power ranking. Craig should be about 15th on a 450 ranking, right in front of J-Mart but here we are.

Id love to see this post re-opened at supercross' years end and see how close their estimations were in comparison

Then how do you explain Ferrandis, Sexton and Plessinger being that high in the rankings and Musquin only being at number 8?
Last season (including outdoors) has everything to do with the rankings.

No way should AC be in the top 10. He hasn’t finished a SX season yet. Hasn’t won a race. He shouldn’t even be in the top 10 of the rankings.

The disrespect for Anderson is absolutely insane. The guy was always battling at the end of the season for the top 5, he podiumed last season, won heat races, and is a former champion. He missed a couple of rounds and still beat AC and Sexton in points. He should at the very least been 8th or 9th.
