Given all the updates in 2020, I dont think they are due to do any major changes until 2022 (or is it 2023?) ....can someone confirm their usual 4 year cycle?

I’m curious too? So for the 250F 2019 was the big year, does that make the 2023 expected to be the “big change” model?

I heard they are making a return to 5 valve and a greater rear engine slant, like 180 flat inside the transmission.

I heard they borrowed some technology from fighter jets for that model, a new “target lock” system. Anytime you’re passed the system automatically engages and crosshairs will lock in on the cylinder of the bike that passed. Steering, clutch and throttle will be then autonomously controlled until the target is destroyed, at which point the rider can take over again and resume fading. It’s a GYTR exclusive.

Would be more likely that the 250F gets the updated frame, pretty sure only the 450 got the latest updates last year, normally the 250 gets them the following year.

The 250F was completely unchanged from 19 to 20.

My bad, just listened to that part at 8min 40 or so where they were talking about Steve getting a new 2021... i thought keefer said new chassis but he said fresh chassis. Apologies mate... This happens when you are trying to listen and have kids driving you mad!

Not to get off topic but it would be interesting to see him as a privateer for a couple of rounds on a bike of his choosing (Honda/Suzuki??) and also with something to prove. Just to see what he could do on the bike he wants to ride.

BTW I'm not trying to speak badly of the Yamaha on a Yamaha thread, just a thought/observation.
