It will be interesting to see what they have done with the 250. I wouldn't expect any changes for the 450 after the update for the 2020 model.

Think Travis Preston said on pulp lx they’ve changed the 450

Didn't he just say that people would be happy with the appearance? That could be anything from the much needed plastic updates on the 2-strokes (oh please god) to black rear fenders and BNG.

Well..it will be interesting, will probably watch it if I'm not working Friday.
Why is it that it's Yamaha Aus doing this.?.Haven't seen anything about model release stuff in the USA..
Surely it would be a simultaneous global pres release deal?
Sometimes I think Yamaha Japan ikes Yamah Australia a lot! We get a racer kit with our 2 strokes here ..just comes with the bike..full HGS gytr exhaust, v force reed setup for the 125..etc... Far as I know, no other country gets that stuff with the bike?

Yeah, Why?

Just think if they actually did upgrade the two strokes and beat KTM to EFI on a MX bike. This place would explode.

Likely BNG and nothing more.

The motor still looks to be tilting the wrong direction.

Suzuki AUS started including wifi tuners on the RMZ250 last year I think. I am not sure any other country does that. Must be an Australia thing.

Ok ok so maybe I can correct his statement to be more specific bec I'm 99.9999999999999999999% sure Cody41 was specifically commenting on the YZ450f and not the YZ250f.

think you have got it backwards there. The 450 will have the changes.

450 changed from 19 to 20. 250 has not changed since 2019.

That is why i think it would be surprising if the 450 gets an update. Considering that 2022 might be the year when the Yamaha gets an all new model like in 2018.

Reliable/trusted source in the industry told me zero significant changes to the 2021 YZ450f, just a few "visual upgrades" to the 2021 bike. I'm wondering if a not-so-improved 2021 will make the price of a new 2020 less negotiable, or will the fact that the 2021 bike is released, there could be more wiggle room in the 2020 pricing?

Curious....

I think it is more than just the dirt bike range that is being released via facebook. There is also the bikes we get that other countries don't including the WR range.

I'm in the same boat, will be at work on Friday, so will have to sneak off and watch it. Waiting for the 21s to arrive, picking up a fresh 65 for the boy and then an 85, but might wait until early 21 until we pick up the 85.

The 250F motor needs to rev longer and then it will be perfect.

The bike could turn a bit better, but I love how stable it is at speed, and it's hard to not sacrifice one for the other.

The 250F could lose a bit of weight maybe?

Well..I dunno whats happening Friday...apparently the boss was on hold on the phone all day with the beaurocracy trying to get permits for about 15 of us to go into nsw to shear about 4 thousand sheep at 2 separate jobs..
My mate that runs our track sat in the que for 2 hrs this morning at albury to go and do his work...had a permit but he lives more than 50km from the border so the cops wanted to turn him back but let him through in the end...but they said ,tomorrow he probably wont get through!
What an absolute fucking shit show!
Probably be watching Facebook live on Friday morning instead of making a living..

I have been riding/ racing 250's since 1980, plus open class 2 strokes. I have time on every major brand, including KTM

The current YZ250 is truly a great bike!
I just installed a R-tech kit, billet Faster USA wheel set.
When it is at the local tracks people come to check it out
Many compliments on this restyle, and it was an easy makeover.

Why would someone thumbs down or be salty about this? I agree with everything he posted. If there were changes that I would like to see Yamaha make, that would be it. It's still the best 250F, but I don't see why pointing out where it could be better is a bad thing?
