2021 last year for new two strokes in CA

9/15/2019 8:40pm Edited Date/Time 7/27/2021 4:49am
I just read in an article from CMDA that after 2021 California has banned the sale of two stroke off highway motorcycles over 110cc. The red sticker program is extended until 2025. After that, any ohv motorcycles will use one color sticker. And emissions will
Be tightened up every single year from 2020 through 2025. Interesting.

Peoples republic of Commiefornia need to speak up. Maybe the state wants these effected companies to buy carbon credits from the state. This is how the 45 mpg by 2025 was factored in during the last administration. The real mpg target was 40 mpg but combined with the carbon tax credits, somehow it works out to 45 mpg in Ca.

Attacking hobbies sport vehicles is fucked.

I would be all for banning 2 stroke scooters and also progressively bringing in more stringent emissions standards for passenger and commercial to the point that in 10 years it’s hard to make an ICE car pass. Force innovation through intelligent regulation.

Let people have their hobbies it’s a bees dick of a percentage of state emissions.

Ain't the UN headquarters in New York? j/k. A while ago there was an outrage among the marina world overhere, 99% of 2 stroke marina engines is useless after the introduction of stricter environmental regulations from the EU ( The european department of the UN ) if you didn’t figuar out by now who the NWO is?! well than you know it now 🙉🙈🙊

Dude, we are all in the same boat... the current system divided people ( populism ) so Jo Streets don't have time nor the energy to fight the powers that be in charge ( UN ) ...long story short, 2t vs 4t, Europe vs America, etc. it's all so counterproductive ( my two cents ) buy a passport and travel the world and find out yourself its the same shit everywhere in the free western world... the same fastfood chains, fachion labels and music etc. really its all the same!!!

Rightfully so. The methane in human flatulence is melting the ice caps, because of plastic straws.

You know south park predicted this in that episode where the prius drivers sniffed their own farts.

I don’t see how anyone living in California could be proud of their state.

I ordered a pipe for my street legal WR about a month ago and it took almost 3 weeks to get here because the company was un able to ship it to California because of some tax, so they had to work around it. It’s dumb here. I would love to get out but stuck here for now.

Isn’t the EU banning the sale of new two strokes soon as well?
9/16/2019 7:37am
Truly is sad. Taxes are only getting worse and roads are terrible. Best climate in the nation has its price I guess.

Banning 2-strokes to clean up the environment is like trying to plug a 1" diameter hole in a leaking tank using a hair from your head.

So 110s with an optional 150 kit available in 2021? Sounds as stupid as the law, but it could happen. Don't get me started on CA ruining gas cans and diesel engines. One thing I don't understand is, how does one state have so much pull on the tree hugger stuff?

Not sure if it’s an outright ban or stricter emission rules? I believe it’s why the European manufacturers are going with the TPI engines.

The way i understand it is that the red sticker program is ending and there will be only two classifications. Green sticker 4 strokes that must be efi carb approved. Then there's the second classification.

Closed course competition use only bikes which is gonna be pretty much anything that isn't. Carb approved for trail use. So that means like crf R's yz250f 2 strokes carb'd bikes etc.

It's just low hanging fruit that the general public doesn't care about. The politicians chalk it up as a win to show their constituents that they're making "progress" so they get re-elected in the future. The impact it has on the environment has nothing to do with it, unfortunately.

Sounds like a great opportunity for someone to sell a lot of 110 cc stickers!

They "banned" 2 stroke leaf blowers, yet I hear them all day long. Hope the local Yamaha dealers order lots and lots of 2021 YZ250's

Sell a 125/150/250/300 with a tiny piston and cylinder to make 109cc on the appropriate cases for the actual bike. Sell a “power-up kit” separately in the correct displacement.

And yet, there are mx racers all throughout CA. that think things are just so bitchen. Tasty waves man.

It keeps me up at night thinking about them coming to Texas..in droves. Don't think so? They(Democrats) run every big

city in TX. And when TX. goes majority minority-it's over. And if you think this thread is not directly tied to politics-you

are intellectually dishonest.
