The Shop
The guy in the video is amazing whoever he is. What a beauty!
But, that they, the 250 and 125 YZs and their 'offspring', the Xs, are still such great bikes (I do not, and have not, owned either), should give serious pause for those that rave about the development of bikes, not just 2ts, in the last decade and a half.
They are, 2005 model bikes, with the bare minimum of changes.
Yet, they are still great bikes.
That they can still be legitimately compared to the KTMs and KTHuskies, and the soon to come KTGeeGees, and the TMs, Betas and Shercos, is quite a thing.
How many 2005 model 4ts could even get within Cooee of the 2020 4t models - from any manufacture?
Pit Row
You bring in the 450 4t SX 'thing' to where it's not being discussed.
And, there are no 450 2ts in existence.
And, I doubt there ever will be - which is a crying shame. A modern 350 - 400 - 450 2t, could be a wondrous bike.
300s that are just over bored 250s, ancient old 500s (and, before some here get their knickers in a knot - that's what I have as my "keeper" bike, and I do love the old Teddy Bear / Beast of a bike) , and the BRC 510cc conversion, are not a modern, competitive, economically / easily available at your local dealer (in the case of the BRC) Open / 450 class bike.
It's a funny video, with, a hell of a lot of truth to it.
They seem to sell enough of a slightly updated 2005 model, to keep around - and I for one, appreciate that.
To others here : Has anyone done a 'take' on this / 2ts in general with the Downfall video, featuring the late, great Bruno Ganz ( a great Swiss actor) ?
Regardless, that's a funny video!
