Sounds like cities-counties and their health departments have the final say in some cases for events, so even if a state is “open,” the local officials could say it’s closed. That seems to be the case in STL, because the city technically owns the dome.

Another thing to keep in mind is even if ATL or STL hypothetically allowed a very low number, say under 10k, that might not be enough of a crowd make it financially viable for Feld or the venue.

Props to Feld for pulling this much of a program together so far.
I can't imagine that Feld is expecting to have full stands for any rounds in 2021. I'm sure they are optimistic that it could happen. But they would be silly to expect it, because currently the Dallas Cowboys are only able to have about 25,000 fans at their games. Every other team is much lower than that.

Thanks Gov Newsom for that, Feld had no control over his BS.
Good thing he didn't know about the Fox Raceway national that just happened a few weeks ago with fans attending.

they said they are doing block seating in the stadiums, so people can sit together with friends and family, though you have to buy all the tickets for your group at the same time. assuming they will have limited capacity, these races might sell out fast.

They are planning on open pits.

There is no expectation for full capacity crowds next year, they made that clear on the phone call we had with them yesterday. The Monster Jam events they had at AT&T Stadium over the weekend were capped at 17k each and it’ll probably be the same for SX.

It’s not like SX was selling out every venue at each round in the past, crowds have tapered off for years around the country.

Id be surprised if there were 35k at Santa Clara, Houston, or STL, and there have been lots of empty seats at Indy, Boston, East Rutherford, Arlington, Minneapolis.

Hope people turn up in 2021. Maybe the exclusivity of tickets makes people motivated. If you want SX to prosper, then we have to all support it.

Atlanta has been host to some of the best SX races ever, I always look forward to that SX and I hope they get one.

I thought 2020 was bad but this is depressing... when was the last time Supercross ran zero-rounds in the state of California. (No question mark needed as I know the answer) Looks like we will be traveling out of state if spectators are not banned from attending.

Here is a question, does anyone know if there will be a Legends and Heroes tour in 2021? My son and I will have some sweet bikes to display if possible.

Even though Cal Light follows Cal Heavy with everything, I have hope a TBA round could be at the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. They are allowing a small amount of fans in today for the state's college football rivalry game. Hopefully our governor will realize we need any events possible with the critical drop in room revenue from group/conference businesses that were to help pay for that new toy.

Hopefully Marion County (Indy) doesn’t become deemed a “red” county by Jan. 16th. With Holcombs new executive order once you’ve been deemed a “red” county you’re limited to sporting events and tournaments below 100 participants and no spectators from my understanding. If it remains “orange” it should just remain limited capacity.

My county went to red today. Allen, Ft. Wayne.

I’m in Marion county he will probably move it to red the week of. That’s how disappointing 2020 was so I’m sure 2021 will continue till the vaccine comes widely available.
