It makes for an intense schedule for the racers and teams, but from the vantage point of my couch, I'm really looking forward to the mid-week races.

1 minor injury that take you out a week your done for the year. Welcome to Covid rules. I know they have to honor contracts but who is really going to get hurt the most?

to be fair, it's really not that much more intense than in the past.

rounds 1-12 are almost on the same weekends as in the past, with the addition of the 2 tuesday races, and it starting a week later.

the 12 listed rounds take them through easter weekend, which is normally the first off weekend.

round 12 for 2021 is march 27. round 12 on the ORIGINAL 2020 schedule was march 21...

if 2020 was any indication, likely once the series is into effect and they see what states are 'opening up' more or less.

I really liked the mid week races. Sort of wish they were always just in the week so you get to see them live each week without eating into weekend time

They gave a BIG FU to California.
California's stadiums are not booking any events as of yet, so maybe that's why they have several races on hold at the end, in case the situation improves out there?

Just feel that there is potential for other markets and a couple of other states that are options

Pretty cool. I bet the riders will like getting the series over sooner. I just hope Ken can recover enough between rounds.

Or if it's a small injury the rider can maybe salvage a top 10 then have 2 weeks to recover.

Also, multiple rounds at an indoor venue gives some more time to dial setup for that track.

Anyone know what this means for SX futures? If they’re still running them I’m willing to drive. . .

I would think they are including that to cover their butt incase a Governor decides to shut everything down again and force a cancellation. Then they are back scrambling for replacement venues. It's pretty obvious - 6 rounds in TX - c'mon. TX was basically the last state to shut (if that's what you want to call it) and one of the first to open back up. These guys are trying to play it as safe as they can and target states less likely to force a cancellation.

This.

My guess is that they will hold the other rounds at Anaheim and/or San Diego, if the governor lets us Californians out of our fetters long enough to do it.

I would not be surprised if Houston is no fans. The mayor was on the news today talking about getting close to lock down again. El Paso Texas is on full lock down and it seems Houston is headed that way.
