My girlfriend just got this bike and I've seen 2 stroke pipes get beat up, but I've never seen a pipe split open like this. This was just a tip over and landed on a rock. I wonder if Husqvarna used a thinner wall exhaust pipe to save weight?
The TE 300 exhaust pipe has ribbing in it to strengthen it up and it's in the exact place where my girlfriend's pipe split open.

I think any pipe could get beat into if the bike fell over with momentum added to the bikes drop,
We saw the pipe now lets see the rock lol.
I don't think you can blame the pipe lol
The Shop
The pipe was smashed into the frame right off the head almost completely flat. The big expansion right by the water pump was smashed almost completely flat. The silencer itself was bent into a slight arc.
It wasn't that hard of a hit he actually finished the moto. Which was awesome cause the pipe shouldn't have been flowing. How the mounts didn't get tweaked out was amazing. He also swears he never felt a power loss. But when you looked at the pipe you would have thought otherwise.
It was so jacked up it ended up in the recycling bin for metal.
Anyone know of a good pipe repair company?
I believe the 125 pipe fits. You could try mounting someone’s 125 pipe on there to see if this is true?
I’m sure there’s a discussion to be had about “tuning”; but, mixing & matching pipes is what I’ve seen many people on their “144” kits...using 125 pipes.
Good luck!
There ya go!
