My girlfriend just got this bike and I've seen 2 stroke pipes get beat up, but I've never seen a pipe split open like this. This was just a tip over and landed on a rock. I wonder if Husqvarna used a thinner wall exhaust pipe to save weight?

The TE 300 exhaust pipe has ribbing in it to strengthen it up and it's in the exact place where my girlfriend's pipe split open.

I think it was just wrong place wrong rock,

I think any pipe could get beat into if the bike fell over with momentum added to the bikes drop,

We saw the pipe now lets see the rock lol.

My wife has the te250 with the ribbed pipe and it’s not any stronger. It’s dented from a tip over drop and the subframe snapped ..... next bike will be the gas gas with alloy subframe and pipe guard Smile

Hot metal, sharp rock, a little momentum, and bang! Hole in pipe. You're right, though; that wall thickness looks a lot like aluminum foil.

I could see how an awkward tipover onto a pointy object could be far more damaging to a pipe in that way than a high speed crash would.

I wish I had a picture of the time my friend ruined a brand new fmf pipe n silencer on his cr250. Guy crashed in front of him going into the corner right after the start at washougal. He ran into him.

The pipe was smashed into the frame right off the head almost completely flat. The big expansion right by the water pump was smashed almost completely flat. The silencer itself was bent into a slight arc.

It wasn't that hard of a hit he actually finished the moto. Which was awesome cause the pipe shouldn't have been flowing. How the mounts didn't get tweaked out was amazing. He also swears he never felt a power loss. But when you looked at the pipe you would have thought otherwise.

It was so jacked up it ended up in the recycling bin for metal.

So there are no after-market pipes available and the OEM pipe is almost $430!

Anyone know of a good pipe repair company?

I crushed an FMF pipe running over a downed rider in the first turn so badly that the bike would not run anymore. Local pipe repair guy was able to fix though.

I could be wrong...but...

I believe the 125 pipe fits. You could try mounting someone’s 125 pipe on there to see if this is true?

I’m sure there’s a discussion to be had about “tuning”; but, mixing & matching pipes is what I’ve seen many people on their “144” kits...using 125 pipes.

Good luck!

The 125 pipe probably fits, but those fuel injected offroad 150s are running a pipe that’s clearly tuned for more low end. It’s anyone’s guess whether or not the TPI will run right with a 125 pipe.

Works just fine. My friend is running one on his 2020 TE150.

I have a stock 2019 150sx pipe I’d sell cheap.
