The Tm without a doubt. I have a 19 and it’s an awesome bike. 45 hrs on it and zero issues.

Get the jetting dialed, revalve the suspension, and it’s been amazing.

TM!! YZ not a bad bike but the TM is a bespoke race machine - not really much to do on it at all to race at a high level.

The value between the two is a no contest also,

Hydraulic clutch, billet triple clamps, billet hubs, brembo brakes, estart, look at all the details up close and it’s not even close.

Are you keeping the 09 YZ?

If so, I'd go YZ just to have 2 of the same bike for spares etc. etc.

TM looks bad ass for sure, but as you know the YZ is one of the best all around bikes ever built and you can't really go wrong with a brand new one.

You already have a 2021 YZ, get the TM unless your YZ is clapped out.

TM and rebuild the YZ. The simplicity and part availability make it pretty easy.

A TM is a work of art. I'd like to own one.

Get the TM. That deal sounds too good to be true.
Both are great bikes. One is the most cutting edge, advanced 2 stroke MX bike you can buy, that looks so nice you won’t want to get it dirty. The other is tried and true, no frills, the devil you know. Can’t go wrong either way but as a past and present TM owner it’d be a no brainer for me. Normally you pay a lot more for a TM and when you are putting it together out of the crate and look at how they are built it’s easy to understand why.

I love YZs, but for the same price... go TM. They are great.

Everyone knows that ESR325 is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

It is way above anything else in the otherwise underdeveloped competition of peasants formerly known as "factory race bikes"

I have had both. Both are great bikes. The 300 is way faster than my modified YZ250 was. I wouldn’t get a new YZ if you have a 2006 or above. They are the same bike. You will be bored with it after a few hours and will want a new bike.
If you could get a new 2004 with SSS or A-Kit suspension then that would be a different story.

The new TM's have a counter balancer which greatly improved power delivery down low. You will have way more interest in your rare bike in the pits if you go TM. You already have a YZ unless you want to freshen it up?
You could also go 300 with a KTM XC or Husky TX or Sherco XC or Beta RX.

How far is the closest TM dealer to you?
Who cares? Can’t remember the last time I truly needed a dealer nearby for any reason. Tm dealers are Awesome as well. you can order over the phone or online, no issues there.

Ouch! We know you care about the industry more than that yz133rider..my votes the TM by far as well, just saying. Even though its rare, local shops do save peoples race weekend every now and again. Some will even get the parts to the track... Braaaaap 😉

It sounds more harsh than intended, but emphasis on the “need” part in my post.

It just isn’t a point that would hang me up is all. I guess my local dealers have soured me as well since they’re pretty much worthless for Mx, and their prices are absurd.

This. There is no dealer software or special factory training you need to work on a 300MX. Parts are available to your door overnight in most cases and are never backordered, unlike other brands.

Some guys like the comfort of having a local dealer for support but I’ve owned 6 TM’s along with multiples of almost every Japanese brand and it’s never been an issue for me. My nearest dealer is around 5 hours away and I’ve never set foot in it. I carry some spare consumables but I would for any bike/brand since I don’t want to have to go to the dealer praying they have one in stock if I break a lever, bend a shifter or lose a bolt.
