I sold my 16 KX450 and I'm going back to a 250.
My brother is a Kawasaki dealer and hasn't heard anything yet. I thought maybe someone on here may have some inside info on the bike.
I can get a great deal on a 19 but if the 20 is very much different I'd hold out for one. I have my 16 125 SX to ride if I have to wait on the 20.

I feel like im forgetting something but the 250 is only getting the suspension and a cylinder head.

I think 2021 is the big update for the 250. That's what I'm waiting for.

Safe to assume anytime we see 250, we assume it's a 4 stroke now?
I kind of jumped thinking this was a KX 250, not a 250F.

I know the KX finishes back in the shootouts but my Son loves his and will not even hear of riding another brand. Bike has great ergos, handles very well and has an adequate motor that is tuneable

The 2020 YZ 250F is supposed to be all new. You could get one of those until the Kawasaki updates

Kawi doesn't make a 125. Not many options if you want one.

Whatever. Thought my op was pretty clear. That's why I mentioned my brother was a dealer. Even tried to make the title specific.
Sorry, but I get tired of people trying to push their brand when someone asks about a specific oem.
No biggie though, it's all good. I'll get a new KX250 at some point, just not sure if it will be a 19 or 20.
If the 20 is basically bng, I'll go with the 19 and save enough to get a pipe and my suspension done.

I saw ML post something about it, I believe the thread was titled "2020 bikes" in the Moto related section. Do sent sound like the 2020 kx250 will get the treatment the 2019 450 did.

Believe ML said “some” but not all of the updates the ‘19 450 got with full upgrade for ‘21. Depending on what those “some updates” are, could be nice. If it’s just body work, no big deal. If it’s same engine updates, much more significant. Anyone have a date for when Kawi release details?
