Hi braintrust, hoping for some advice on a replacing/re-mapping the stock ECU. The one bike I rode in the past that felt so much better than stock was a 2017 FC250 that only had a Vortex ECU installed but it really made the bike so much more fun and lively to ride.
I want a bit of performance gain from my 2020 CRF250 but don't want to spend big money on an exhaust so have been thinking of doing the ECU. Has anybody either replaced the stock ECU or re-mapped it without any other mods and if so, how effective was either option?
I've yet to confirm if anywhere local to me does ECU re-mapping to get a cost but the Vortex is looking to cost me about £750 and just want to see if anyone tried this on the model to see how it responds before I go any further.
Thanks folks!
