Used the launch control for the first time last night on my 2020 crf250r. Went through all 3 settings, probably spent a good 15 minutes testing it, and each one would bog and splutter on the initial jump, after that it was okay. In comparison, the starts without the use of launch control felt much faster. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience, or some advice? I tried rolling the throttle on, and also hammering the throttle on, and both still didnt feel that great

Can’t speak for the 20, but my 18 450 had the same ‘feel’.

I believe that despite the feeling - it’s more consistent and likely quicker in the first 10 feet when traction is low.

In deep sand or loamy dirt? No way Jose. Full power all the way.

Maybe I'm a gooner when it comes to starts but my 19 seems to jump right out of the hole (good thing) on the slippery setting when I just pin it and dump the clutch. Never had any bogging.

My only complaint is that it seems like it'll only stay on the rev limiter for about 2-3 seconds before going to max rpm's when the gate doesn't actually drop till about 3-5 seconds after the green light.
