It's because they sponsor the star yamaha team.... and star yamaha already rode with the new '19 the last few weekends if I'm not mistaken. So there had to be a FMF system ready for them. You could ask akrapovic. They sponsor the MX2 Yamaha's in MXGP.

Dubach has them on his website. I agree the stock muffler is totally obnoxious in the sound department this year.

heard the Dr.D's are still loud. Wonder if he has done much testing and found some gains though?! Am guessing a Q would quiet it the most, but along with power loss

I would bet Don from Rocket could hook you up with something pretty quickly? I bought a system from him last year for a '17, he was quick to respond to emails (he called personally a few times), and quick with a "custom" work I needed later on. Big fan of the pipe too. I've also been on a FMF and Bill's for the same bike to compare.

x2 on Don Leib. Great guy, very knowledgeable and explains things well. I will buying another one for my 450 when I purchase it.

It will mellow out the bike, but also not as loud. Depends what you want.

^^^ Bad deal how distant that is from being somewhat in line. Give Rocket a shout, they'll hook you up.

I would do that, but isn't there some special internal baffling with the Q?

Forgive me for posting a quad lol, but I cut 3” off my PowerCore 2 silencers last year. They just looked super long on there and needed repacked anyways. Fairly simple to do and they turned out great imo

may I see a pic straight on from the back (like mine) with the 4.1? Any power gains or report of any kind with that? My thought is send back the Q and wait for a yosh at this point.

part of my "noise sensitivity" lol is that I am just coming off of a year on a 17' 250xc 2stk....so the lil' yz250f seemed really loud at first...I have already adjusted, also I am an earplug guy so it really has become a non issue for me.

It's not just you. There were a few 19s at the track this weekend and they were noticeably louder than all the other 4-strokes when standing track side. Surprisingly loud.

Hey, I haven't had a chance to try it yet, with the TP map also... in saying that I use earplugs as well and didn't have much issue with the stock.

here are some pics I just grabbed, It didn't seem any different to stock in terms of install or angle etc. it's actually a touch longer than stock from what I could tell.
