The tank on the enduro version will be great in MX/SX too. I am sure the 250 and 450 teams will benefit from such an improvement in mass centralization and getting the center of gravity so low.

I think Plessinger, Ferrandis and Cooper will be able to challenge for the titles with the improved chassis and engine that was already powerful.

About the 85, they didn't do much actually, but managed to put the valves which is cool and was a must have to stay in the game. The price doesn't seem changed much, pretty close to the 65 I believe, which is something cool to mention.

You want them to write a few paragraphs about BNG?

Fight the power? You mean fight the only Japanese OEM still producing full-size two strokes, unveiling a new YZ65 and updating their YZ85.

65 and 85 are the same MSRP.

When is Yamaha going to finally put two shrouds on the 85? Idk why, but it's bugged me ever since I rode 85's. I loved my 02, but hated how it didn't have shrouds on both sides. The 65 does! Maybe it's just my OCD

They won't run that tank due to extra weight of the tank itself, along with the position bringing more of that fuel closer to the exhaust and back of the engine.

The factory 450 team switched to aluminum and carbon fiber tanks due to the flex of the plastic tank the riders could feel when gripping with their legs.

Is this era of YZ125 and YZ250 the longest running production MX bike ever built?

Kind of disappointed. After seeing the new style plastic they put on the 65, I thought for sure that it was going to translate over to the rest of the two stroke line.

Insane the 125 and 250 get zero updates for 14 years. Please spare me the list of little tiny differences of brake holders, pegs, settings etc its been 14 freaking years. How tough would it be to alter the porting get some power into them and spice things up.

Nah we'll keep selling thr same 05 dressed up and charge 7300 lmao.

ML,
A couple of questions:
How did you like the chassis changes between the 17 and 18 450?
If the new 250 behaves similarly, would you consider it an improvement?
When do you get to ride the new bikes?

Thanks
KC

I prefer the 18 chassis and mostly the way they redesigned the airbox, shrouds and radiator layout to make the front of the bike concave instead of convex in shape (shrouds bow onwards instead of outwards). With these changes, I can easily say the new 250 will be a good improvement.

I am really looking forward to getting the new 250f. Hopefully they don’t take too long to come into the dealers in the UK like the new 250f hondas.

"Dear Suzuki,

I have long loved your bikes. The turning is second to none. But moto needs power cuz track builders build jumps and make dirt deep. Please copy another yamaha engine like you did for the Rm250. Wait, copy KTM so you get more power and lose some MF'ing weight!!"

after reading all the changes, i might have to convert. i've been a staunch Suzuki fanboy despite its anemic motor( I compensate with a 270 big bore) but the yami is already a strong motor and if they only add more too it and a better chassis??....whats financing like

Any idea when we can expect dyno charts or HP figures on the 19 250F ?
Not until we get one to put on it.

Still no YZ125X?
They made one in 2017 but didn't bring it to the USA for some reason.

Each country is responsible for ordering and marketing their own models. If the US-side didn't order them then it means it didn't fit/they didn't believe it would be profitable.

I really hoped that they would use the yz65 design on the big 2stroke.

Me too. We would of been looking at the yz 85 for next year had it received the styling updates of the 65. Maybe 2020?! Unsure
